Target 90% Christmas Clearance 2015 Finds Round 1 of 4

Yes, I totally ventured out Tuesday to all four Targets to check out the 90% Christmas clearance.  I was going to be a brave soul and took P with me to all four stores.   Of course, I hit the Perrysburg store first and it was by far my biggest amount bought.  I spent $51.87 and got all of this.

  • I always make sure to check the toothbrushes when it comes to the 90% Christmas clearance.  I found a whole endcap of toothbrush/toothpaste sets and body wash/shampoo/body spray can.  S has a birthday party on Saturday and I know I would much rather S get stuff he can use rather than toys he doesn’t need.  S is giving him the TMNT bath set ($2.99) and toothbrush set ($1.79).  I also got S a Minion toothbrush set ($1.79).  I have so many battery operated toothbrushes I bought in the past years I only got the one this year.
  • I also found a Cookie Exchange Kit that includes: tags, string, labels and more for only $1.  I also got treat boxes for $.40.  I found one pack of napkins ($.30) and one box of silverware ($.30).

  • I found one snowman baby toy that hangs for $.50, and a binky clip for $.49. The elf tuxedo ($.99) was hanging out in the girls dept.  S wanted something new to give to Chippy next year.  I found a whole endcap of Sharpie markers, but really how many silver and gold permanent markers do I need?  I only got one pack of each ($.29 each).
  • I found some bakers twine ($.10) which I will use to hang regular gift tags on bags,  I found a ton of the EOS blackberry nectar in the regular aisle.  I was going to buy all of them because they would only be $.29.  Only one of the seven I found had the correct sku, so I got the one.
  • I got two packs of tags ($.30) that look neutral enough I can use for birthdays.  I got two pairs of Elf socks for $.39 each.

  • I found pajamas galore.  I got a pair of elf pajamas ($1.99) for me so I can match the kids.  I found Santa jammies ($1.49 each) that will fit the kids in two years.  I found Elf and Snoopy jammies ($1.69 each) for S.

  • I was super excited about getting these bracelets.  I have no idea what I am going to do with them.  I wasn’t sure how many to get so I decided on 20 of each.  Well I found 20 red and 20 gold, but only 14 silver and 14 green.  I saw them at the second store and forgot to get the remaining six silver and green.  Oh well.  Each bracelet was only $.10 each.

  • I found two shirts for P the Olaf was $1.00 and the reindeer was $.79.  I got two sets of elves and two sets of Snoopy tank and undies sets ($1.49 each).  I originally purchased a Snoopy set for $4.49, so I returned that set.  Of course when I was unpackaging these I found that a pair of the Snoopy underwear was missing.  Oh well, $1.49 for a tank is still a great deal.

  • The past couple of years I have been getting cups for all the small cousins on B’s side for Christmas Eve.  We always have punch and instead of the kids drinking out of plain cups, setting them down, forgetting them, or knocking them over each has their own cup.  I put the names on each cup.  This year the older cousins (ages 6-13) will get the cups with light up globes in them.  I got 11 at $.59 each.  The milk jug cups ($.39) are for the little cousins (ages 2-4), and I was going to give the snowman cup to the newest cousin who was just born, but when I looked at the receipt it rang up full price $2.99, so that is getting returned.  I’ll figure something else out.

  • B hit the motherload of candy.  I don’t need any candy and neither does B, but he will love it.  I got two M&M bags ($.95 each) and used a $1 off 2 bags making them $.45 each.  I got a bag of Rolo ($1.04), Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups ($1.04), Hershey Santa Hat kisses and Peppermint Bark Bells ($1.04 each), Ghirardelli ($1.34), and Pop Rocks ($.30) for S.

It was a big trip and P did great.  Even though I spent $51.87, I really only spent $48.88 after I return the Snowman cup.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
