TV Talk Tuesday

Jenny from Love My Randomness does a TV Talk Tuesday post and has so kindly let me borrow her graphic and idea.

I have been slowly catching up on all the shows that I didn’t watch when I spent an entire week watching all 7 seasons of Sons of Anarchy.  Some of the shows bored me, others I was like what the heck, and some had good fall finales.

Sons of Anarchy (FX)-I am so glad that Abel said something.  I was really hoping he was going to be the one to spill the beans about Tara.  I can’t wait for tonight to find out more about it.  I also really liked the after show they had last week.  My favorite Tommy Flanagan was on and he is such a cute Irish/Scottie boy.

Revenge (ABC)-I get after the first season this show really had nowhere to go, but come on.  Don’t the writers think farther in advance than one season?  If we do all of a, b, & c in season 1, what are we going to do farther down the line?  The story line is just getting to out there.  It’s not like PLL where it keeps you intrigued, it just bores.  I have to tell you I think the story could be so much better if they would finally kill Victoria.

Vanderpump Rules (Bravo)- I know this show has to be mostly scripted like I think the Real Housewives are (even though I still love them).  Maybe not though I mean most of these people are struggling actors/models and this would be a great gig for them.  Why not air all their dirty laundry on TV; at least they are on TV.  As far as Lisa, I can’t even begin to tell you all the things wrong she does with work, from an HR stand point.  (I did graduate with a degree in it and work in the field.)  I have no idea how you can sit there and talk about their sex lives in front of everyone else, single out Kristen and fire someone in front of all the employees.  Almost every single person except for Shay has been credited in a movie or TV show.  Doesn’t that make you wonder if it is all fake?

Holiday Baking Championship (Food Network)-I know what you’re thinking where did talking about this show come from?  I love a good cooking show, but baking shows I am all about watching.  When I watch chefs cook I know I would not eat about 90% of what they make, however, when they are baking desserts I think I would try almost all of them.  I love to bake so it really keeps me interested.  This show is just too cute.  They have to make festive holiday desserts and it is a contest (you know one eliminated every week).  This show reminds me of the show that was on CBS The American Baking Competition hosted by Jeff Foxworthy.  I hope this show comes back every year like Halloween Wars does.  Guess we will just have to wait and see.

That’s all for this week, see you next week!  Now that most of the shows are going to be on hiatus until the New Year, we will start to see which shows get cancelled and which will stay on.  I really hope Madam Secretary stays because it is really good.  Check it out if you haven’t watched it yet.

  • Hey look I actually blogged it this week 🙂 I think I told you but I only made it through season 1 of Revenge and started season 2 but I just couldn’t get into it so I dropped it. I loved the original thought but I totally agree with you and they didn’t think it would last for that many seasons.
Funny I’m doing the blog while watching Chopped. I love it and would never eat half of what they make but I love seeing what they can come up with using such random items. That is how I know I am not a chef since not only do I now know what half of what they are cooking with is but then I would never be able to make anything even with the items I know what they are. However I still love watching the show and its great to turn on when I’m blogging, FBing etc.

Totally true about the cooking shows. It is amazing but only confirms that I could never be a chef because I would not touch half of the food and I would never taste what i made.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
