Thursday Treats

Thursday Treats is all about the best things I have had happen in the past week as far as good things, good foods, awesome finds at stores, great TV shows, etc.

  • S and I started getting Christmas decorations out yesterday.  We got all of the new bulbs we got last year at Target’s 90% off Christmas clearance.  S had so much fun hanging them up on our little trees.  They could definitely use more ornaments but this was all we were able to find.  These are our daytime decorations when we add lights to the trees for night time it will be better.  I was going to carry up the tubs of Christmas decorations to start on the inside of the house.  Sadly they were too heavy for me so they are still sitting in the basement.
  • We are going to Costco today to pick up our Christmas cards and pick up some odds and ends.  I love looking at all the toys Costco has at Christmas time.
  • The new Janet Evanovich book “Takedown Twenty” came out on Tuesday and I got an email yesterday saying my copy was ready at the library.  How exciting I thought it would be long after Christmas before I got to read it.  I was thinking of buying the book for my sister for Christmas and reading it before giving it to her.  (I did that last year and she never knew.)

  • Last year I told S that and Elf will only come to our house if Santa thinks someone needs to watch him and report back to Santa nightly.  It would mean that he was borderline for the Naughty List.  I started tell S the same thing again this year and he keeps telling me, I will be good so the Elf doesn’t have to come stay with us.  If he does come, I won’t touch him.  We having been watching the cute Elf on the Shelf cartoon and S is totally getting into it.  I love that he is trying to act good.  Last year the Elf did not come until the 6th of December.

  • Thanksgiving is now only a week away.  I cannot wait for the turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes.
  • I am going to try and make a pumpkin roll today.  This could be a really good sweet treat for me!

What good things have you been treated to you this week?

TTGood copy

Although I do Thursday Treats, it is pretty similar to Jen at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom‘s Thursday Thoughts, so I am linking up with her today.

Oh my goodness! My weakness is the pumpkin roll. Yummy! Haha, Elf on the shelf is super cute. I don’t have kids though. I could always do it for my chinchilla. Hehe. Happy Thursday!

I am all about watching Christmas shows and always have been. I always watched them long before I ever had kids. I never got around to the pumpkin roll, but really want to do it this weekend.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
