Sunday Social

I am linking-up today with Ashley at http://www.ashleylately.com/ and Neely at http://www.acompletewasteofmakeup.com/ for Sunday Social.

What is your favorite holiday season tradition?

Christmas Eve is my favorite.  We have modified what we do throughout the years but it is still basically the same.  We get together with my maternal side of the family and have our little Christmas, and then in the evening we go to B’s side of the family and have Christmas.

Do you have a certain holiday movie you watch more than others? If so what is it?

Home Alone 1 or 2 gets watched at our house the most.  B loves to fall asleep to it so it is on most nights and if it is on TV you can pretty much guarantee we are watching it.

Show us your favorite decoration or Pinterest decoration you wish you could have.

I don’t really have a favorite decoration.  I would say a Christmas tree with colored lights.

What is your favorite holiday song?

My all-time favorite is “Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer.”  Since our local radio station that plays all Christmas songs this time of year is a family friendly station they do not play this song.  Big Bummer!  By I love to hear “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas,” almost as much.

What is your favorite holiday dessert?

Traditional sugar cookies with frosting and sprinkles and a glass of milk are my favorite.

What is on your wish list this year?

I don’t really have a wish list.   B and I don’t really get each other presents for Christmas.  Usually when we want something we just get it.  It’s rare we ever get anything for each other for Christmas.

I teach 8th graders and was playing “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” this past Friday. I think the song is hilarious and it makes me giggle. Some of the kids got into it and some were rolling their eyes. It was funny to see their reaction because not all had heard it before. Merry Christmas!!

I had never heard of this song before my last job. When I started there right before Christmas one year it was the first time I every heard the song and fell in love with it. When I left the job to stay home with my son I never forgot. Thanks for stopping by.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
