Saturday Sales

Saturday Sales is all about the great deals I found in-store or online. I know this is only going to show you how much I actually do or don’t shop. I do find a ton of great deals online and even in the store. So if I don’t make any purchases you can see what I thought about purchasing in the past week. Right now I am not going to include my Target Clearance Finds in this post. Now that the clearance is gearing back up again at Target I am hopefully going to have some great finds.

School Supplies

The only thing we went shopping for this week was school supplies. It is the one thing I do not even try to find good deals on. School supplies are hard enough to find let alone shop around for the best deals. They are so specific on what you have to get them. Since everyone has to get the same school supplies beggars can’t be choosers. For example, we have to get 6 jumbo glue sticks. Not 12 regular size glue sticks. You can buy the jumbo sticks $1.49 each or 3 for $2.49. While I don’t look for deals I also can’t justify spending unnecessary money. I could pay $8.94 if I bought them all individually or pay $4.98. I elected to not get the individual glue sticks. B found a pack at Wal-Mart. I included a note when I turned in the school supplies.

Sawyer Hart owes one 3-pack of Jumbo Glue Sticks.

I will send them in when he comes in for testing or the first day of school.

Thank you,

Stephanie Hart

Yup, my son sent in an IOU to his teacher!

Did you find any great deals this past week shopping?

That is too funny about the IOU. I think the teachers here are just excited to get any supplies so they are pretty happy. Ns first two years I did the discount thing but this year we ordered them through the school. When I figured it out I maybe saved $5 doing it myself but with his new track and only having a week and going to the beach noway was I doing all that shopping. Since most of his supplies are communal anyway and shared I didn’t care if they were fancy or not so ordered we did. I love that his school uses Edukits and makes things so easy for us.

If we had the option of the school purchasing all the products I probably would just do that. Maybe when he goes into 1st grade they offer that. I am definitely going to watch for it and ask about it.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
