Foto Friday

Foto (Photo) Friday is my show and tell of pictures from the last week.

  • We made it to the zoo last Friday for the animal egg hunt.  S had a blast at the zoo and I love that he can now walk or get a piggy back ride and we don’t have to take the stroller.  I know that all changes in a few weeks.  Good thing we have a sit ‘n’ stand stroller.
  • This is what I look like at 35 weeks pregnant dressed up for Easter.  This is the same dress I will be wearing for pretty much all functions that require me to dress up until the baby is born.  It is super comfy and yes I am still pretty small only measuring at 32 weeks.

  • S was so happy doing the egg hunt in the backyard.  He really liked the mixture of plastic eggs with Toy Story toys inside and real eggs that did not get eaten by the dogs this year.  They were seriously smelling them when S was looking for them.  I think they actually gave him a little too much help in telling him where the eggs were hidden.
  • Not only did the Easter Bunny bring S his basket inside with money, new swimsuit, new book, and Toy Story toy, he also left some stuff outside for S.  S got a new pedal tractor with a front end loader.  He was so excited about the tractor that he didn’t even look in his scoop to see he got new gardening tools.  On the way to my Aunt’s S told us he has a tractor like his Uncle F but his is blue and yellow and Uncle F has an orange tractor.  He is right, and how he remembers this stuff I will never know.  He was sure to go tell Uncle F first thing about his new tractor.

  • My cousin took this picture of S in action.  It is by far one of the best pictures I have of S lately.  This was his good mood egg hunting until he reached his limit.  He really did have a ball hunting for eggs.
  • On Monday, S helped B mow the lawn (basically) followed behind him with his little supped up lawnmower.  After the lawn was mowed, S wanted to play in the sand with his new gardening tools.  He told me he was practicing how to dig holes and plant plants.  He was replanting weeds to practice.  It was so cute!

  • S and I made Easter egg nest to take on Easter.  S had a great time decorating them with the eggs and actually did a really good job.  I didn’t have any milk chocolate and never made it to Michael’s so I used bittersweet chocolate chips.  It definitely needed the milk chocolate, but I didn’t complain when I was eating a few.
  • It has taken us the whole week to make the Jell-O eggs.  Now we just have to turn them into deviled eggs on Sunday morning.  We also made a mold in a bread loaf pan to try and make striped jigglers.  I won’t know if they worked until we unmold them on Saturday night.

  • I finally got S’s pictures done and mailed out to his cousins.  Usually I use my Cricut to cut out shapes but I decided to go with what is popular right now and used Washi tape.  I did it a little cryptic by having a stamp on the left with an umbrella and rain and the month April (April Showers) and on the other side of S was the month May and flowers (May flowers).  I thought it was cute but not sure everyone else will get it.  (One year for Christmas I sent out cards that had ribbon and a tag on them ‘Do Not Open ’til Christmas.’  If you flipped the card over there was a small corner that was folded that said “Merry Christmas! Love B and S.  There was nothing on the card inside of the card just a little joke.  My kind of humor.  My grandma totally did not get it and called me asking if she really had to wait till Christmas to open the card.  Some thought it was our way to announce we were pregnant.  While it would have been a good idea we weren’t.)
  • My haul from Target on Thursday.  S kept begging to be in the picture.

  • S was going crazy driving his race car all over the place not even close to his normal loop that he does.  The best was PJ there the whole time with S and never once barked.  I love that she is learning and doesn’t need the bark collar to behave.
  • B went grocery shopping on Wednesday night and check out the score he found at Meijer.  I guess we know what sock booties the baby is wearing home from the hospital.  As far as the rest of what she is wearing I know she will have a diaper on but that is it.  I am totally okay with pink for this baby as long as there are pigs on it!
