Wild Wednesday

Wild Wednesday is about all the crazy or unbelievable things that have happened in the last week to me, in the news, pop culture, etc.

Since last Wednesday here is what has happened:

  • Yesterday, we got a call from B’s aunt to let us know that the baby birds in the nests outside had hatched.  Since S has never seen baby birds in a nest when he woke up from his late nap we went out to see them.  Of course there were like 20 trees we had to look at to find the birds nest.  After looking at each tree twice we finally found one of the nest with three baby birds (I guess there were four birds, but we only every saw three.).  We found another nest but I could not see in the nest, so we waited until B got there and he looked in the tree and saw two eggs in the nest.  There was supposed to be two babies and one egg.  When I talked to B’s aunt later I did not find the correct second nest but found a third nest.  So we are going back again today and see if we can see the babies and egg in the nest we missed and show B’s aunt the nest with the eggs.
  • We went to Amtrak train day on Saturday and S had a ball.  There were so many train displays to look at and then we went out to the tracks and got to look at different types of trains.  The best part was going up on the old train bridge and being able to look down on the train station and tracks.

  • I have been to Target 3 times in the last week.  Last Thursday, Monday and then yesterday.  I am still on the hunt for the pair of sandals that they had on clearance at my Target and the two other Targets did not even have the shoes.  Bummer!!  I have one more Target I could try.  Not sure if it is worth it.  I may think about it after I visit my Target again on Thursday to look at the sandals again and make sure I really like them.
  • S took his first walk around the block.  My little boy is growing up so fast.  Our road does not have sidewalks so S has always gone in some type of stroller.  S did so good walking on the road, especially because he held PJ’s leash the entire time. We do walk on sidewalk half of the time and I told S to be careful and not trip and fall.  He said, “I not trip and fall, I have emergency landing.”  Who thinks to say that?  Kids say the most amazing things.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
