Thursday Treats

Thursday Treats is all about the best things I have had happen in the past week as far as good things, good foods, awesome finds at stores, great TV shows, etc.

  • We had three wonderful days of weather and the kids and I enjoyed it.  The kids were able to play outside every day.  Yesterday we were able to decorate the trees with Easter eggs.  P was actually tall enough to put some of the eggs on the tree and the rest of the time she decorated the bush!

  • I spent last night threading more eggs so they can hang them up on the next semi-nice day.  The look of Easter eggs on trees is my 2nd favorite to Christmas lights.
  • P amazes us sometimes.  Yesterday she was telling me that one of her My Little Pony characters had a cutie mark on her “translucent” wing.  B and I were blown away by her using the word translucent and correct at that.  When we asked her where she learned that word, her response was simply, “I just knew it.”  S asks almost immediately, “What does translucent mean?”  P got the street smarts and S got the book smarts.  How can they be so much alike and so different at the same time?

  • I worked on the basement a little getting it organized.  I didn’t get far, but at least all of the new clothes I have gotten on clearance since Christmas are now all organized and put away by size.
  • I am working on teaching P to get herself dressed in the morning.  Today she was so proud when she got her pants and shirt on all by herself.  The first thing she said was, “I am a big girl!”  Yes you are.

What good things have you been treated to you this week?

Although I do Thursday Treats, it is pretty similar to Jen at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom‘s Thursday Thoughts, so I am linking up with her today.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
