Thursday Treats is all about the best things I have had happen in the past week as far as good things, good foods, awesome finds at stores, great TV shows, etc.

B and I celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary this week. B and I normally don’t get each other gifts. Even for Father’s Day the kids usually make him something. To my surprise B brought home donuts and roses. I think the last time I got roses was before we were married. Neezer was a big flower eater and really the only way flowers live forever is when you take a picture of it. I made B a homemade black raspberry pie. We froze black raspberries from our garden this past summer because B wanted pies in the winter.

(B drew the heart and put sprinkles in it himself! Very resourceful.)

P decided to paint herself in yogurt Sunday night. While it was a mess, it also made really cute pictures.

P is not talking (coherent words) but she is making a lot more noise. She has really improved on her sign language. She created her own signs but at least I know what they mean and can somewhat figure out what she needs or wants. She can tell me the following:
- Binky-she points to her lips
- A drink-she sticks a finger in her mouth
- Wants something-makes more sign
- All done-she puts her hands up like “I don’t know” but to her that is all done
- No-shakes head no
- Put shoes or slippers on-points to her toes
- Needs a diaper change because it is smelly-points to her rear end
- Has to go to the bathroom (#2)-pulls her pants down (she doesn’t know what to do quite yet but she realizes she has to go)
- Has to pee-points to the front of her diaper
- When she wants something-will point directly to the object and not stop till you figure it out or let her show you
B got the two pictures in our bedroom hung up that I wanted and a full-size mirror with a jewelry box behind the mirror on the wall.
