Thursday Treats

Thursday Treats is all about the best things I have had happen in the past week as far as good things, good foods, awesome finds at stores, great TV shows, etc.

  • I got the box of recipes from my dad. When I opened the box it smelled like my grandma’s house. I haven’t smelled that in probably 10 years. I found some recipes, but it wasn’t the ones I was looking for. If only I could find the Christmas cookie recipes and the strawberry jam (to make my brother his favorite pie for his birthday).
  • My neighbor picked her son up from the sitters and it just so happens to be one street over. S made friends with the sitter’s son and now they are best friends on the bus. S has wanted to have him over. When my neighbor picked up her son and she brought the sitter’s son with her. S was so happy he ran up to E (sitter’s son) and they gave each other a big hug. They played together and it was awesome. I had an hour of peace and quiet where S wasn’t asking me a million questions. We already made plans for today.
  • P went over to my sister’s during S’s practice. It was for less than an hour. When I left she was crying and when I got back she was still crying. I don’t understand it because when they are here she runs up to them, lets them hold her, and overall loves playing and being with them.
  • P still loves to play with the pretend kitchen. B laughed when he saw her stirring a spoon in a bowl and pretending to eat. She does have a good imagination when it comes to the pretend kitchen.
  • We get to see the twins this weekend and S is so happy. He cannot wait till they come over and play with him. Even though they are older, he loves them.

What good things have you been treated to you this week?

Thursday Thoughts

Although I do Thursday Treats, it is pretty similar to Jen at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom‘s Thursday Thoughts, so I am linking up with her today.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
