I thought while B was out on strike (hopefully not for long) I would talk about what is going on and how we have been affected by it in the past week.
Week 13
There is not really much to report this week. Things have been quiet because nothing is really going on. Let’s see, the federal mediator came for meeting, the union hall was booked again on Friday so no dinner, and we got more donated diapers.
The result so far from the meetings with the federal mediator is zip. According to union emails/text they met with the company and the federal mediator spelled some things out for the company which they didn’t like and left the meeting. They are going to try and meet again to work on other issues and table Management Right for the moment. GOOD IDEA, why focus on the one problem (seriously). Let them iron out all the other problems and then they can revisit this issue. Maybe the little issues will help to fix this big issue. It is just a wait and see.
