I found these reusable silicone food storage bags but I’m not really sure what to use them for. It says the bags are food grade silicone, and leak-proof. The bags can store solids or liquids without spilling. So knowing this B and I thought about what we would want to use the bags for. They would really make the best ice packs for coolers. We can form them into the shapes we want and not have to worry about the bags leaking.
I am not sure how well the bags will seal the scents in or retain the scents after you wash them. Cauliflower is a scent that seems to permeate through bags no matter how many you use. Next year we are going to try these on the cauliflower that B grows and that will be the true test. We are going to also attempt to freeze chili in the bags and see how it works when we thaw it by boiling it in water to reheat it.
The Reusable Food Storage Bag set come with two large bags and one small bag. The zip lock is really hard to slide back and forth which I hope helps create a tight seal. The bags themselves were much heavier and thicker than I thought.
