MomSelect The Happy’s Party Review

I was asked by Mom Select to host a The Happy’s Playdate MommyParty!  When asked if I wanted to participate I happily jumped at the chance because I knew S and his friends would love playing with them.

For those of you who don’t know what #TheHappys are, this is a new line of interactive motorized plush pets.  The Happy’s are currently the only line of interactive puppy and kitty with special features.  The animals can be trained to perform tricks, make 25+ silly sounds, play “keep away” or roll The Happy’s ball and chase after it.  Hold their treats and the puppies or kitty come running.  All the treats work with any Happy’s pet, so the more treats you have the more tricks The Happy’s will do.  The Happy’s were created from the imagination of ZhuZhu Pets toymaker Cepia, LLC.  The Happy’s will be available for purchase this Spring!  I have already seen them in sale ads for Wal-Mart.

S begged to have a Happy dog party every day since we opened our kit.  A few days after we opened the kit I scheduled The Happy’s party and S’s friends were only too happy to come over and try these new toys out.

Since I really had no idea how they worked other than reading the directions included with The Happy’s I had no idea what to expect.  Let me tell you these animals were crazy.  You turned them on and literally I picked my feet up off the floor and just watched them go all over the place.  If they got stopped by a cabinet or wall they would simply turn, spin, and head another direction.

For a while we just let them run free to see what they were all about.  Derby and Neezer were very interested in The Happy’s, but PJ took refuge under my feet and hid from The Happy’s.

We then got the ball out and I was amazed to see all four of The Happy’s follow this ball all over the place.  S would roll it down the hall and they all followed.  When the ball was rolled back they all again attacked it like they were really puppies and a kitty.

As far as the treats that each animal had we would try them to see if they actually did respond to the actions.  Since The Happy’s were going crazy it took a while for us to figure out exactly how to tell if the treats were working.  The easiest way to see how each trick worked was to turn off the Chase ball and only use one treat at a time.  Usually only one of the animals would respond to the treat it just depended who was getting the infrared control.  A few times two of the animals would respond to the trick.

S’s friends were only too happy to be able to take a Happy home with them.  Since we had our party we have been trading treats back and forth to watch all The Happy’s performing the different tricks.  S has loved to continue to play with The Happy’s.

The Happy’s were definitely a success at the little party.  The kids had a blast playing with the dogs and cat.  Even B got involved playing with the dogs.  Although these are by the company who makes ZhuZhu pets they are definitely about two to three times larger than a ZhuZhu hamster.  S has been asking me if we can get the other accessories that go with The Happy’s.  He keeps telling me the dog would love to drive the car all over the place.  Maybe we can add on to our Happy collection.

Disclosure: I received these products for free in order to host a party by Mom Select and Cepia, LLC.  All thoughts and opinions are all my own.
