P has had rough patches of skin since she was born.  Most of them tend to come and go, but a few have been there for almost the entire time she has been alive.  Since about 8 months old we have bathed P nightly.  Basically once she became active rolling all over the floor it was time to get a bath every night.  We have always dealt with dry skin but now I had to be more diligent on making sure we lotioned her every night.

Most nights I just use Johnson & Johnson lotion but every so often I have to use Aquaphor to really help with the dry spots.  It usually takes a week of using it, and it leaves a greasy residue even the next morning.  I was looking for something that would work on P’s skin, not be terribly expensive and not leave a greasy residue.

The Mom of 11 Kids No Time for Dry Skin came in a metal tub.  It was a soft solid.  After rubbing it in my hands for a few seconds it liquefied but still had this graininess to it you could see.  The more I rubbed it into the skin the faster they disappeared.  I used this on P every night for a week.  At first I didn’t really see a difference, but by day 3 the dry patches seemed to have started to go away.  By day 7 the dry patches were almost completely cleared up.  For once P finally had smooth skin everywhere.  The problem is after I stopped using it the patches have started to come back.

I was hoping this would fix the problem and not be something I had to use daily forever.  I liked that this lotion had absolutely no fragrance to it good or bad.  The next morning I can’t even tell that I put this lotion on P.  That is awesome.  I don’t have to worry about it ruining any clothes.
