Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
This Week’s Goals-To continue to work on getting more posts done in a timely manner.
Monday-There is a parade in the morning uptown and the rest of the day we are hanging out at home. We may go swimming after P wakes up from her nap.
Tuesday-Today they are digging out the new basement at Grandma G’s. We are going to hang out there all day and watch them dig the big hole. Who knows what treasures they are going to find.
Wednesday-We are going to Grandma G’s again to watch them work on prepping the huge hole to pour the footer and foundation to start the basement. B is going to play at his parents after he gets home from work and watch the kids. I am going to another painting class that we planned over 6 weeks ago. I would never have scheduled it while they were doing all this work at B’s parents.
Thursday-Another day at Grandma G’s during the day. B will most likely go over with the kids after work and I am going to run to a few stores when B gets home and then to an eye doctor appointment.
Friday-B is off so I am guessing most of the day we will be at his parents watching them build.
Saturday-We have a birthday party in the morning, then are coming home for P’s nap and going to another birthday party in the late afternoon.
Sunday-Right now we have no plans so maybe just hanging out at home.
Last Week Recap
Let me just begin with that I have been so tired lately. I am falling asleep on the couch almost nightly. I just cannot get up to go to bed. I have been slacking on getting my daily posts done on the correct days.
Monday was a quiet day at home. It was the beginning of S’s last week of kindergarten.
Tuesday S had school. In the evening I took S to his soccer practice. I had to text the coach to see if they had practice because no one was at the park when we got there. Apparently, everyone was running late and they all showed up eventually. It was so nice outside that I sat in my folding chair and worked on my computer while he practiced.
Wednesday was another hot day. I got all the water toys out when S was at school and P was napping. It was a nice surprise for both of them.
Thursday was S’s last day of school. It was so nice outside that I had the water toys set up so the kids could play when they got home from school/woke up from nap. S had a few of his little friends over, too. The kids and I skipped the farmer’s market because it was too hot and B went by himself.
Friday B got up early and took Dash to the vets to get declawed. We went over to B’s aunts in the morning so B could take down there old TV antenna. We watched while he climbed up high and got the antenna and most of the pole cut down. B and S went to his other aunts so B could fix a leak on their roof and S could play with his cousins. I took P home and gave her a much needed nap. S was pretty tired the rest of the day and hung out in the house. P and Baby A played outside together.
Saturday I went and got Dash from the vets with the kids. She was so happy to come home. You couldn’t even tell she had her paws declawed. We had to calm her down because she was just her normal frisky self. We went to S’s last soccer game of the season. It was super-hot and humid out. With S’s game starting at noon the sun was at its peak. In the shade it was actually quite comfortable to sit and enjoy the game. S sweat buckets but did his best by far playing.
Sunday S went over to Grandma G’s and helped them all day with prepping for their addition to start. B picked him up on the way home from work and we went over to May’s house for a cook-out. The kids had a blast and it was nice to be around other adults. When we got home B was really complaining about his throat hurting. I convinced him to go to the urgent care at 9:45pm and they closed at 10pm. He was diagnosed with strep and an ear infection. Good thing he went.
Last Week
This Week’s Goals-I am hoping to get caught up on some posts I have not been able to get too.
Monday-No plans for us, we are just hanging around at home.
Tuesday-S has soccer practice in the evening. It is going to be so nice outside that I plan on having the water toys out when S gets home from school and P wakes up from her nap.
Wednesday-Another warm day. I got B to get out the baby pool so the kids can swim in that today. Really S will just be able to sit in it, but P will be able to play and swim.
Thursday-Another warm day and S’s last day of school for the year. There is the farmer’s market in the evening. If it is not too hot and the kids want to go we will head up there for a while.
Friday-B is off from work and this is S’s first day of summer vacation. I have no idea what we will do.
Saturday-We have S’s last soccer game of the season and the rest of the day we have no plans.
Sunday-Today we are just hanging out at home.
