Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday-P has a field trip to 577 Foundation for school today. I have a doctor appointment at lunch, a meeting at a fitness center to do a workout program and then am going shopping at Walmart to check and see if there is any 90% Easter clearance left and Hobby Lobby for 80% Easter clearance. S has baseball in the evening but it is supposed to rain all day so I am guessing it will be cancelled.

Tuesday-S has soccer and piano lessons after school. B is working so P is going to ride along and we will find something to do while he is at soccer and piano.

Wednesday-P has school and I am helping out the 2nd graders at St. Rose with making rosaries. I did this last year with S and loved it. It is what started me making rosaries. The rest of the day we are just hanging out at home. It is going to be in the 70s so hopefully the kids can play outside.

Thursday-P and I are taking my nieces to school in the morning. They have a late start. The rest of the day we have no plans so we will just hang out at home.

Friday-P does not have school so she is going to hang out with me. I am going to get my next batch of rosaries to make. To date I have made 350 rosaries in just under a year. I learned how to make them last year on P’s birthday. The rest of the day we are just going to be home.

Saturday-The kids have a Home Depot build and then soccer. S has a birthday party to attend in the afternoon.

Sunday-It looks like right now the only thing going on is a 4-H meeting for S.

Last Week Recap

Monday P did not have school so she hung out with me at home. After school S had one last tutoring session and they are done.

Tuesday we hung out at home during the day. S had soccer practice and piano after school.

Wednesday after I picked P up from school we watched our neighbors get a concrete pad poured. It’s amazing what the kids and I find fascinating. After school P played in the huge cardboard boxes that they turned into a village/house. B took S to his baseball practice.

Thursday P and I went to Walmart to check out the Easter clearance. After dinner we went to S’s art/stem show at school. We have never gone to one before. It really wasn’t anything big and took about 10 minutes.

Friday P had her Spring program in the morning. She did great singing all the songs. Afterward there was a small art show in the classroom to show what they have been working on learning about different artist. P and I went home after the show. When we got home it was time to start baking cakes and making frosting. I spent the rest of the afternoon and night making and decorating the cakes. I was done at about 10:30pm and passed out in a chair by 11pm.

Saturday the kids had soccer games in the morning. Afterward we did a run to Target to check out the 90% Easter clearance. It was cleaned out, but I was still able to find quite a lot. In the afternoon, we went to a birthday party. The kids had a blast at the party. I made the cakes for the party. After the party P and I ran to two more Targets.

Sunday P and I went to the last of the 4 Targets after breakfast. When we got home it was time to get ready for church. Their cousin was celebrating his 1st Communion. After church we went to the luncheon. The kids all played together for a few hours.

Last Week

Monday-P does not have school due to Easter Monday (that was what the school calendar said). It is going to be super nice so we are going to spend as much time outside as we can. I also would like to take down the Easter decorations in the house and the eggs outside on the trees. The kids have there last tutoring for the year.

Tuesday-P and I are going to hang out at home. It is going to be somewhat nice outside so I am hoping she can play. S has soccer and then piano lessons after school.

Wednesday-P is going back to school after being off for a week. I am going to run to Target and check up on what is left of the Easter clearance so I know what to come back for when it goes 90%. S has baseball practice after dinner.

Thursday-P and I are going to be hanging out at home baking the cakes for the birthday party. I think we are also going to mix up all the frosting and colors so we are ready to go for Friday afternoon.

Friday-I have a meeting at P’s school in the morning. She has her spring program at the church. Afterward there is a small art show of the kids work. P and I will spend the afternoon decorating the 2 birthday cakes for Saturday.

Saturday-The kids have soccer games in the morning. We have a birthday party in the afternoon that I am making two birthday cakes.

Sunday-We have a 1st Communion to go to. Now they have rescheduled P’s soccer game for in the morning so I think we are skipping the church for the 1st Communion but will go to the luncheon afterward.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
