Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday-P has school in the morning. After school the kids have tutoring but that is the only thing we have planned.

Tuesday-P and I are hanging out at home during the day. When S gets home from school he has soccer practice and goes straight from that to baseball practice. It is going to be a long night for him. Thankfully he does not have piano lessons and we are doing catechism lessons at home for the rest of the year.

Wednesday-P has a field trip for school to the Toledo Museum. She is so excited. I told her when it is done we can go check out the mummy. She asked me if it was going to talk to her and walk around. I think she has been watching too much Vampirina. Thank you Disney Channel. The kids have tutoring after S gets home from school.

Thursday-P and I are going to hang out at home. No plans for the kids after school. It is supposed to be 70° so I am hoping they play outside.

Friday-is Good Friday. I am going to try to get the kids Spring pictures done as long as P’s dress gets here in time. The rest of the day we are just going to be home. S has baseball practice in the evening.

Saturday-We have to decorate eggs at some point.   I want to try doing it this year with rice but am not quite sure how that works so I have to do a little more research.

Sunday-Today is Easter. We are going to the helicopter egg drop in the morning. When we get home hopefully B will be awake and the kids can hunt for the eggs in the backyard the Easter Bunny hid. We don’t leave the eggs we dye out to be hidden because PJ ate them one year and we learned.

Last Week Recap

Monday P had school in the morning. After school P and I went out to my aunt and uncles to help fill Easter eggs. The kids loved it because they all got to play together and have fun. Of course, P fell asleep on the way home. I sat in the car for a while and talked to my sister on the phone. When S got home from school I woke P up and the kids all played outside until it was time for dinner.

Tuesday P and I hung out at home. S had his first soccer practice of the season and then piano lessons. We are going to stop catechism lessons for the rest of the year. It is just too much to get done on Tuesdays. He would miss half of catechism and half of soccer practice. I can work with him on the catechism so he won’t miss really miss anything. P got to play at the park while S was at practice. She loved climbing all over the playground.

Wednesday P had school in the morning. Both kids had tutoring after S got home from school. I took S to his first baseball practice after dinner. It was pretty cold out in the low 40s, so they cut practice short to only an hour. That was nice because it also started to rain on them when they were practicing.

Thursday P and I hung out at home during it the day. After school both kids had tutoring again. The rest of the night we just hung out at home.

Friday P had school in the morning. B dropped her off and picked her up. I got to take a morning nap in peace and quiet. Go figure I couldn’t get a good nap and only slept for about 40 minutes. P played outside in the afternoon. After S got home from school everyone played outside. We had dinner with the neighbors, it was “Pizza Friday.” It was super windy outside so after dinner the kids wanted to play outside and every time they threw a Frisbee it never went where they wanted. It was fun to watch because we had no idea where it was going to end up.

Saturday morning we woke up and had to get ready for soccer first thing. Both kids had their first game of the season. P went first and jumped right in there and started practicing with her teammates. She really wanted to score in her game, but didn’t this time. She is bound and determined so I am sure it will happen. S played his game and seemed to have fun. He played defense the entire game. For the second half of the game he was the goalie. With the help of his teammates his was able to stop any goals from being made against him. The kids played outside in the afternoon. I went to help make rosaries with the 2nd graders getting ready for their 1st Communion. In the evening the kids ended up making s’mores over at the neighbors.

Sunday I knew it was going to rain all day so I planned on just hanging out at home. We ended up going over to May’s for a few hours to watch The OA. The rest of the afternoon P played with the few toys I have left from when I was little. I busted out all “The Quints” for her to play with. I bought a ton more on eBay when my niece was little because she loved to play with the dolls. P now has a plethora of Quints to play with.

Last Week

I didn’t do this post last week so there is nothing to compare the recap with.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
