Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday P has school and both kids have tutoring after school.

Tuesday S has catechism and piano lessons after school. P and I are going to walk through Hobby Lobby while he is at piano lessons. This is a new thing she loves to do and the 25 minutes we have is the perfect amount of time. This is her thing to do so I let her lead me through the store and I follow her where ever she wants to go and look.

Wednesday P has school in the morning. While P is at school B and I have dentist appointments. S and P have tutoring after school.

Thursday we have no plans and are just hanging out at home.

Friday P has school in the morning. The rest of the day we are hanging out at home.

Saturday S has his evaluation for baseball. This year they are going to evaluate each player and try to make sure the teams are pretty even. This is the first year for that. I know in other age groups there were a few teams who were really good. S’s team was definitely the good team in his age group. The rest of the day we are just hanging out at home.

Sunday S has a 4-H meeting, and there is a train show at Owens Community College that S and B go to every year. P and I are just going to hang out at home.

Last Week Recap

Monday P had school in the morning. In the afternoon we hung out at home. S and P had tutoring after S got home from school.

Tuesday S had catechism and piano lessons. His piano lessons got changed to before catechism so it was a totally different night for S. He did fine with the change in his routine. P and I hung out at May’s. She played with all the kids and had fun.

Wednesday B took P to school so I got to sleep in. (Actually it was more get up with the kids and then go back to sleep after they were ready for school. At least I didn’t have to get dressed and take P to school.) I picked P up from school and we went to meet my new nephew. He was so cute and pudgy. Like most newborns he just snuggled and slept the entire time. After S got home from school they both had tutoring. The rest of the night we hung out at home.

Thursday morning we dropped our old mattress (not really that old less than 4 years old) to my sister’s in laws. After S got home from school we went to Ohio Skate. B was home and able to go with us so the four of us went. (It was a fundraiser for S’s school). B and I found it ironic that on our 15th wedding anniversary to celebrate it we were roller skating. If you know us, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise because we both love to rollerskate/rollerblade. If you didn’t know us it would totally be an unusual way to celebrate a wedding anniversary. When we got home S decided he was going to play baseball this summer so I signed him up on the last day you could sign up. Nothing like waiting till the last minute to decide.

Friday P had school in the morning. Afterward we hung out at home for the rest of the day. When S got home from school I took all five kids (P, S, A, Little L, and Little B) to watch May play dodgeball at the Junior High tournament. It was actually a lot of fun to watch and the kids loved it. The three older ones (S, P, and A) were cheering and paying attention the entire time. I think we are definitely going to go again next year.

Saturday we went to a Home Depot build in the morning. The kids made pretend clocks they can use to practice telling times. S is way beyond that but he still likes to build stuff. We hung out at home in the afternoon. I made dirt pudding, chocolate chip cookies, and May buckeyes. (May buckeyes are specifically made for May. They are chocolate chip cookie dough dipped in melted dark chocolate to look like buckeyes.) We went over to the neighbors for dinner. The kids had a blast playing together and of course eating dirt pudding for dessert. B came over after work and we hung out for a few hours before taking the kids home for bed.

Sunday we got up early and went to the 9am mass at church. The 3rd grade catechism classes had a small section just for them and then refreshments served afterward. S was so worried about not being one of the first in the cafeteria and that he may miss out on the donut holes. No worries he got them. After we got home the kids played outside for about 10 minutes before decided it was too cold out (in all fairness it was chilly). The rest of the day we hung out at home.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
