Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday-P has school in the morning. After school P and S have (for lack of a better description) tutoring. P is learning her letters!

Tuesday-I think P and I are going to try to see my new nephew. They are finally home from the hospital. S has catechism and piano lessons after school.

Wednesday-P has school in the morning. S and P have tutoring again after school.

Thursday-P and I are hanging out at home during the day. After school we are going to go roller skating at Ohio Skate. The last time we had one, it was cancelled because school was cancelled.

Friday-P has school in the morning. No plans for the rest of the day.

Saturday-The kids have a build in the morning at Home Depot. I think we are doing dinner at the neighbor’s (still up in the air).

Sunday-No plans for today just planning on hanging out at home.

Last Week Recap

Monday S ha school. It was a make-up day because they have had too many weather cancellation days. P still had the day off so we hung out at home. It was crappy day of weather with snow, mixed ice, and then rain. The kids’ tutoring was cancelled in the afternoon so we hung out at home the rest of the day.

Tuesday P and I hung out at home. S did not have catechism after school. I took S to piano lessons after dinner. While he was at piano lessons I went to Target to check out what was left of the Valentine clearance in hopes it was going to go 90% tomorrow morning.

Wednesday I got up and was at Target by 7:58am. I was surprised to see that I was the only person waiting in the parking lot for it to open. There are usually three others and we always see each other at the 90% clearance events. Not today. I was by myself for an hour and got to take my time and really look through everything for what I wanted. I got a ton of stuff. S is giving slime to his classmates next year, P got new shirts, and I got some new decorations. S and P had tutoring after school.

Thursday P had Kindergarten Round-Up. She did great and was so excited. We were in and out in less than 20 minutes. Afterward we went to Target to see if we could find my niece a Peppa the Pig shirt. In the afternoon, B went to the union hall to hear about contract negotiations. B and S worked on his project for excels making a 3D display of Grandma G’s house she grew up in. They are working on giving presentations and family history.

Friday P had school. I took her to school and then went downtown to stand in line for concert tickets. I was able to get B and me great seats for Jason Aldean. Thankfully they let us wait inside and not out in the cold. The rest of the day we hung out at home.

Saturday we hung out in the morning. When B woke up we went to Side Cut Metropark to check out the damage from the ice dams. We all loved looking at the huge ice mounds and what had happened. The kids and I went to the neighbors for dinner. The kids all got to play together and had a blast.

Sunday was a crazy day. The electricity went out around noon. My sister came over with Little A to hang out for a while. Then my dad stopped by to visit. All of this without electricity or heat! B had to go to work, but the kids and I hung out at home. With the blinds open it was fine in the living room. The kids played with Duplo Legos and did puzzles. They have not played with either in quite a long time. I wanted to get rid of the Duplo Legos. Good thing we kept them! At about 6pm our house was at 63°. It had been falling about a degree an hour. I didn’t want to make dinner in the dark so I ordered pizza about 6:30pm and wouldn’t you know the electricity came on five minutes later. Phew! I did not want to try to figure out showers and sleeping in the cold. If it got bad we could always got to B’s parents or to my dad’s. My kids do not do well with change (me either) so bedtime would have been tricky.

Last Week

Monday-The kids were supposed to not have school because it is President’s Day, but since they had a cancellation last week from weather, S now has to go to school. P does not because she goes to St. Rose. So we are hanging out at home. S and P are both working with K on reading comprehension and letter recognition.

Tuesday-Not a whole lot going on during the day. S doesn’t have catechism but piano lessons after school.

Wednesday-P has school in the morning. After school S and P are going to be working with K again on reading comprehension and letter recognition.

Thursday-P and I have kindergarten registration in the morning. She goes and does some testing while I get to fill out paperwork! The rest of the day we are just hanging out at home.

Friday-P has school in the morning and B is going to get concert tickets for us. They go on sale at 10 am. So excited! The rest of the day we are spending at home.

Saturday-No plans for the day.

Sunday-No plans for the day, again.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
