Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday-P has school in the morning and then we are hanging out at home the rest of the day.  P and I need to do her Valentine’s for her class on Wednesday and then we are going to make twist cookies.

Tuesday-We are supposed to get an ice storm Monday night so I am not sure if the kids have school.  S has catechism after school but no piano this week.

Wednesday-P has school in the morning and her Valentine Day party at school.  I need to fold laundry and when S gets home he needs to do his Valentine’s.

Thursday-P and I are going to hang out at home all day.  It is Valentine’s Day, but we don’t have any plans.

Friday-The kid’s don’t have school today.  Thankfully B is off work too so I won’t be alone with the kids all day.

Saturday-We are all home again with no plans.

Sunday-Another day of us all home with no plans.

Last Week Recap

Monday I went to BGSU to judge a DECA district competition in the morning and B got P and S off to school.  After school S and P did some work with our neighbor, K.  K is working on getting her degree and is using P and S for some of her school work.  P and I went to mom’s night with her class. She had a great time showing me everything, we made a craft, and the kids sang a song to the mom’s.

Tuesday we hung out at home.  S had catechism after school and then P and I took him to piano lessons afterward.  While he was there P and I went to Hobby Lobby.  She was in love with the store and loved looking at everything.  When I told her it was time to go she was not ready.  I told her we could come back again because we hadn’t even come close to looking at the whole store.

Wednesday we had snow and ice.  We were one of the only school districts to not delay or cancel.  We definitely should have at least delayed.  S and P worked with K again after school.  P learned the letter C and was so excited about it.  We watched Little A for a few hours.  The kids loved eating dinner with her, P getting a bath with her, and S getting to rock her.  He really loves rocking her and kept picking her up and carrying her to the rocking chair to sit and rock with him.  She was usually good for a few minutes.  It is amazing at how good he is carrying babies around.

Thursday P and I hung out at home during the day.  Not a whole lot happened.

Friday P had school in the morning.  In the afternoon we just hung out at home.  B made dinner for the neighbor’s and us.  I got to spend time with Little B which is all I wanted to do (not really but I love that baby).

Saturday B took the kids to the zoo in the morning to look at the aquarium and reptile house.  I stayed home slept a little and folded laundry.  In the afternoon we decided to check out the ice dams on the Maumee River.  The river had already receded so there wasn’t much flooding to see but the aftermath was crazy. Up at the dam there was still ice going over the dam.  The kids loved watching it.

Sunday P and I got up really early and went to Cleveland for a princess event my brother invited us too.  She had a fantastic time and got to meet a ton of princesses.  The only princess P refused to go see was Pocahontas.  When we got home I told B it was her turn to have P.  She was still wide awake and no nap in sight for her.  Me I went straight to bed and took a nap.  While we were gone B and S replanted the oak trees S wanted to grow.  Right now he has 70 plants that they have replanted two times already.  In the evening, P and I mixed up cookie dough to try to make twist cookies for Valentine’s Day.  It has to be made a day in advance, so we are going to make them on Monday.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
