Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
Monday-P has school and we are supposed to get a little snow. P has kindergarten registration starting at noon. This will be the last chance S will have to play outside after school until at least Saturday because of the weather.
Tuesday-I am questioning whether S is going to have school or not. They are predicting the wind chill will be -15° in the morning. I am thinking he will have school but you never know. P and I are going to a morning birthday party. It is with a friend I met through the mom group I used to go to. I am excited to see her again. S has catechism and piano lessons after school. By then it will be so cold outside that he couldn’t play outside anyways.
Wednesday-We probably won’t have school because it is going to be so cold outside. It will be a day of hanging out inside only.
Thursday-Another day we may not have school because of the wind chill. They said they are going to call it the night before so we will know Tuesday and Wednesday night.
Friday-P has school in the morning as long as it is warm enough. S will have school, too. Fingers crossed.
Saturday-We have a build at Home Depot in the morning. Afterward we are just hanging out at home.
Sunday-Another night of hanging out at home.
Last Week Recap
Monday the kids did not have school because it was Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I got to sleep in while B got up with the kiddos. In the afternoon, P and I went over to May’s and hung out for a while.
Tuesday S had school while P and I hung out at home with B. S got catechism class cancelled on the off chance the freezing rain started early. He still went to piano lessons and got flash cards to practice. I can say for sure he never got them out all week.
Wednesday school was cancelled because of the weather. I was surprised but S was happy. P was mad because she wanted to go to school. We hung out over at May’s house during the day and then went back again after dinner until it was time to get ready for bed.
Thursday P spent most of the day out in the garage with B. It was a nice break and breather for me.
Friday P had school in the morning. In the afternoon, B, P, and I went shopping at Kohl’s to check out the Christmas clearance jammies for the kids. I am so surprised that they have not clearance out all the Christmas jammies. They have the Mickey Mouse boy’s jammies on clearance but the Mickey nightgowns for girls are still full price. I got to watch Little B in the evening. We spent a night of dancing. I think S is super happy that we don’t have a baby her age right now. He doesn’t mind having Little B around but I think he would grow tired of it fast if it was full-time.
Saturday we hung out at home all day. Not a whole lot going on. I read a book for a few hours while the kiddos played quietly. We went over to May’s for dinner and hanging out. The kids had fun playing together.
Sunday was another day of hanging out at home. B and S went to a 4-H club meeting in the afternoon. P and I had some snuggle time while they were gone. I worked on updating a few of my pages on the blog. I updated my Book List (books I have read) page and started adding cakes to the Decorating Cakes, Cookies page. I am thinking about splitting that page to separate cookies and cakes. For now it is all one, but I may change it.
Last Week
Monday-The kids don’t have school today because it is Martin Luther King Day. It is going to be bitterly cold so the kids are going to be stuck inside. I am planning on taking P over to the neighbor’s and binge watching You on Netflix. S is going to stay home with B and build some cars from wood. S is learning to use saws and sanding, etc.
Tuesday-It is going to be warm enough today that P will be able to play out in the snow before it melts. Since she doesn’t have school today hopefully she can get a few hours in the afternoon outside. I have dentist appointment to get a new mouthguard. It’s been 10 years since I have gotten a new mouthguard so I think it’s time. S has catechism and piano lessons after school so he won’t get a chance to play outside.
Wednesday-P has school in the morning. I may run to Wal-Mart and check out the toy clearance that they have right now. We are going to Ohio Skate after dinner. S and I look forward to when they have it for his school.
Thursday-No plans for today, just hanging around the house.
Friday-P has school in the morning and the rest of the day we are just going to hang out at home.
Saturday-Another day of no plans.
Sunday-Ditto, same as yesterday.
