Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday-P has school in the morning.  The only day this week!  S does not have Eco club so he will come home right after school.  Since yesterday he thought he was being sneaky and cleaned his room so he didn’t have to work on his project, we will today.

Tuesday-P and I are going to watch Little A for the day.  S has catechism after school but does not have piano. I think we are going to try to go see Santa at Bass Pro after catechism.

Wednesday-The kids do not have school today.  We are going to hang out around the house and if I am lucky it will be nice enough for them to go outside and play.  If not S will be working on his project.  I am hoping to have it completed by the end of the weekend.

Thursday-Today is Thanksgiving.  B is working so the kids and I are going to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade in the morning and then go see Wreck-It Ralph, Breaks the Internet.  The kids are counting down the days.  Afterward they are going to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa while B and I do some Black Friday shopping (That is unless I am able to get everything on the Internet ahead of time.)  My kids don’t and have never liked any traditional food from Thanksgiving so they could care less about all the yummy food.

Friday-B will probably get up early and do some Black Friday shopping.  The kids and I are just going to hang out at home.

Saturday-We have a build in the morning at Home Depot.  After dinner we are going to the Maumee Lights Parade.  The kids love seeing all the lights in the parade and have a great time.

Sunday-I don’t know of any plans as of now so we are just going to be hanging out at home.

Last Week Recap

Monday I took P to school.   After school we hung out at home.  S’s friend brought him home after Eco Club which worked out great because I fell asleep on the couch with P lying next to me.

Tuesday we didn’t do a whole lot of anything.  S had catechism and piano lessons.

Wednesday P had a scheduled delayed start for school.  Since she was only going to be at school for an hour and half I ran errands.  I had some returns to do and then couldn’t help myself and looked around the stores.  I did not walk out with anything which I was proud of.

I love her ponytail!

Thursday I woke up to a text saying that S had a two hour delay due to weather.  Not long after I got another text telling me school was cancelled.  S was happy, me not so much.  I cancelled P’s plans to go play with my aunt and uncle.  I didn’t think it would be a good idea to travel on the icy roads.  In the afternoon S went outside and played in the snow for a good 3 hours.  He was so happy to have snow even if it was a wet slushy snow.

Friday both kids had school.   After I picked P up from school we drove down to Haslinger’s Orchard to get more apple cider.  We discovered that 101.5 The River started playing Christmas music all the time.  We listened to it the entire time and P was so excited when she would hear someone sing about Santa Claus.  If that is any prediction of how she is going to be for Christmas, it is going to be a fun season for us all.

Saturday I had to work on decorating Baby L’s birthday cake so I worked on that most of the day.  B took S to a swim party with the 4-H club.  He told me S was the first to get in the water (of course, my little fish is).  After they got home and we all got ready we went to Baby L’s 3rd birthday party.  I made her a pink kitty cat.  When B brought it in for her to see her little eyes lit up and she had the biggest smile.  The best payment I could ever ask for.

Sunday we planned to get out the Christmas decorations and set the tree up.  Instead we worked on cleaning the upstairs and organizing everything.  B and S worked on cleaning and organizing his room.  Sadly we didn’t get any decorations or tree out but are ready to do so now.

Last Week

Last Sunday I woke up with what can best be described as Vertigo.  I have never had it before and always thought people made it up when they said they had vertigo.  Now I know it is real and will never doubt someone again when they say they have it.  It was so bad that I was puking from just walking to the bathroom.  I get motion sickness from car rides, roller coasters, etc. but it has never made me throw up before.  It was so bad on Sunday that I had to beg B to call off of work and stay home.  In the 17 ½ years we have been together I have never asked him to call off of work.  I didn’t know what to do, and thankfully he called off.  I thought it would get better by Monday but as I type this the following Sunday there is still a little bit left.  So I have no pictures from last week and don’t even know what happened most of the days.

This Week

Monday-P has school in the morning and S has Eco club after school.  I am planning on hanging out at home watching a little TV.  I started watching Man in the High Castle on Amazon Prime and love it.  It is about if we lost WWII and the Germans and Japanese won.  It is so bizarre.

Tuesday-P and I are hanging out at home.  Hopefully we don’t get the snow mix they are predicting to cause a school delay or cancellation.  S is praying for it crossing his fingers.  After school S has catechism and piano lessons.  We decided to take the month of December off from piano lessons.  I think S is getting burnt out and we are always so busy in December.

Wednesday-P has a scheduled 2 hour delay so that will give her a late start.  S has school and then we are just hanging out at home.

Thursday-S has Tech club in the morning before school.  I am not sure what P is going to do today.

Friday-P has school.  I am making Baby L’s birthday cake for tomorrow.  I really wanted to make her a cat cake.  She loves her kitties.

Saturday-S has a pool party for 4-H.  P may go with them or stay home with me.  I am not sure if I will be done with the cake or finishing it up before the party.  We have Baby L’s 3rd birthday party.  The kids are so excited.

Sunday-I am hoping we can get the Christmas decorations.  I think I waited long enough to put up the decorations and tree.  I also want to make sure I have looked at all the Black Friday ads and have my shopping list done and what time the sales start.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
