Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday-P has school in the morning.  S has Eco Club after school.  P has trick-or-treating at the Uptown Maumee businesses.  If everything goes okay I am hoping to carve pumpkins after dinner.

Tuesday-P and I are hanging out at home.  It is much needed, we both have terrible colds.  S has catechism after school but not piano lessons.  We took this week off in case we wanted to go to a Halloween event.  Since the weather is going to be a high of 60° hopefully the kids will feel like playing outside.

Wednesday-Today is Halloween.  P has school in the morning and her Halloween parade at 11am.  S has his Halloween parade in the afternoon.  After school it will be all about getting something to eat before we head out to trick-or-treat.  I don’t think we will be out long because both of my kids get bored.  They really don’t care about the candy.

Thursday-P is going to hang out with my aunt and uncle in the morning if her cold is better.  The rest of the day we are just going to be hanging out at home.

Friday-P has school in the morning.  S has a regular day at school.  No plans for after school.

Saturday-There is a build at Home Depot in the morning.  If the weather holds up we may try to put some Christmas decorations outside.

Sunday-No plans, just hanging out at home.

Last Week Recap

Monday P had school in the morning.  When she got out we went to the library so she could get more chapter books.  Yes, she likes to read chapter books now (well I read them to her.)  After school S went to hang out at his grandma’s and mow the lawn with the riding lawnmower.

Tuesday P and I hung out at home.  S had catechism and piano lessons.

Wednesday P had grandparent’s day at school.  She got to hang out with them and then Grandma G brought her home afterward.  She was so excited to show me the books she got.

Thursday after school we got ready for Trunk-or-Treat at St. Rose.  The kids love to do trunk-or-treat and I love that it goes by really fast.  We can be in and out in less than 20 minutes and the kids are totally happy with that.

Friday S didn’t have school but P did.  So she went to school in the morning and B and I went to S’s parent/teacher conferences.  Afterward B and I went to Target to check out the toys the kids want for Christmas.  The only thing the teacher said to us that S needs to improve on is he is so slow.  He takes forever to get things done.  I told her it has been like that since he was one.

Saturday was a crazy day.  A few hours after he woke up he told me his fingers hurt and he had a swollen lump on the bottom of each foot.  I called the after-hours hotline and they recommended I take him to the hospital immediately.  When I asked S what he wanted to do he said go to the ER.  So off we went.  Thankfully there wasn’t a wait and we got right in.  After looking at S, taking is Pulse/Oxy they concluded that the lumps on the feet were from his new shoes he wore for 3 hours yesterday.  They didn’t take any blood, urine sample or anything.  We were out of there in less than an hour.  Do you know how stupid I felt?  I was in tears because I was embarrassed and annoyed that they didn’t do anything.  So we went to Woodcraft where they were having a wood build and you could donate the toys you made.  When we got home S still had swollen feet.  The swelling never really went down and it was hard for him to walk.

Sunday S still had quite a bit of swelling on his feet.  It hasn’t gone down much but his fingers felt better.  The kids just hung out around the house.  This cold is kicking my butt so I spent most of the day in bed.  I couldn’t stop coughing.  We were going to go to the Halloween Parade in Rossford but the rain never stopped.  With the three of us having cold (B excluded) there was no chance we were going to sit in the rain.

Last Week

Monday-P has school in the morning.  S is going to hang out at Grandma’s after school.

Tuesday-P and I are hanging out at home during the day.  S has catechism and piano lessons after school.

Wednesday-S has his first day of tech club before school.  P has grandparent’s day at school. She is so excited.  Afterward we have nothing going on, so it will just be a day of hanging out at home.

Thursday-P and I are hanging out during the day.  We have Trunk-or-Treat at St. Rose after dinner.  This is one of the kid’s favorite things to do for Halloween.  I love it because it is short and sweet and all in one location.

Friday-S has school in the morning.  No plans for the rest of the day.

Saturday-No soccer this weekend!  We are going to a wood build at Woodcraft.  They have an event going on where you make a wooden toy to keep and one to donate.  P is too young to do it, but S will love it.  I think Witzler-Shank is having their Halloween party.  If we donate a canned good the kids get a free pumpkin.  I have done this every year and to date I have never bought a pumpkin for the kids to carve for Halloween.

Sunday-As of now we don’t have any plans but being so close to Halloween, we may find something to do depending on the weather.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
