Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday-P has school in the morning.  S is going to hang out at Grandma’s after school.

Tuesday-P and I are hanging out at home during the day.  S has catechism and piano lessons after school.

Wednesday-S has his first day of tech club before school.  P has grandparents day at school. She is so excited.  Afterward we have nothing going on, so it will just be a day of hanging out at home.

Thursday-P and I are hanging out during the day.  We have Trunk-or-Treat at St. Rose after dinner.  This is one of the kids favorite things to do for Halloween.  I love it because it is short and sweet and all in one location.

Friday-S has school in the morning.  No plans for the rest of the day.  EDIT:  I totally forgot S does not have school because of Parent/Teacher Conferences.  We have S’s teacher conference in the morning.  It looks like P still has school.  I need to double check.

Saturday-No soccer this weekend!  We are going to a wood build at Woodcraft.  They have an event going on where you make a wooden toy to keep and one to donate.  P is too young to do it, but S will love it.  I think Witzler-Shank is having there Halloween party.  If we donate a canned good the kids get a free pumpkin.  I have done this every year and to date I have never bought a pumpkin for the kids to carve for Halloween.

Sunday-As of now we don’t have any plans but being so close to Halloween, we may find something to do depending on the weather.

Last Week Recap

Monday P had school in the morning.  S had his last soccer practice after school.  They invited the parents to attend and have a scrimmage against the kids.  I volunteered B to go so I didn’t have to.

Tuesday P and I hung out during the day.  After school S had catechism and then P and I took him to piano lessons.  While he was at piano lessons P and I ran to Spirit Halloween to see if we could find a Kristoff costume.  Of course, we didn’t find it, but I was hoping we might.

Wednesday P and I went to Fleitz Pumpkin Patch for her field trip.  She had fun but was ready to leave after a few hours.  Afterward we went home and P had a quiet afternoon.

Thursday P and I hung out at home.  I couldn’t convince her to go to Target so I ended up going after B got home from work.  I found quite a few pool rafts at 70% off and then had a cartwheel for an additional 15%.

Friday P had school.  The rest of the day we hung out at home.  The kids played outside after school while B and I worked on putting away the pool toys.  I spent the entire time deflating the inflatable toys.

Saturday the kids had there final soccer games for the fall season.  Thankfully it was not terribly cold.  Neither scored a goal but they both had fun.  In the afternoon, B and I drove to South Bend for the Garth Brooks concert at Notre Dame.  It rained, snowed, was windy, and cold.  It was not very pleasant but we endured to see the #1 on my bucket list of concerts to see.  I was seriously let down by the concert and we ended up leaving early.  It is the first time I have ever left a concert early.  He was taping a show to air in December and the night was all about that and not playing for the crowd.  I plan to do a separate post all about it.

Sunday we hung out at home.  It was a day to close the pool.  I swept the pool and then helped B with closing the pool while the kids rode bikes around the pool.  After a few hours I took P inside to eat lunch (really late at 3pm).  After we ate, I fell asleep and never woke up to help B finish closing the pool.  I ended up taking over a 3 hour nap.

Last Week

Monday-P has school in the morning.  After school I am going to take P to get her Halloween pictures.  I usually do them in September but P has been refusing to get pictures.  I finally got her to agree so I am taking advantage of it.  I think S is old enough now that he doesn’t have to go and get pictures for Halloween.  After school S has his last soccer practice.

Tuesday-B is going to work early so I am on my own running the kiddos around.  S has catechism and piano lessons after school.  I have to work in a quick dinner between the two in the car.  P is going to have to run around with me so that will either go well or terribly bad.

Wednesday-P has her first field trip for preschool.  We are going to Fleitz Pumpkin Farm.  She is excited to go and I am so I can figure out which kids are which that she talks about.   No plans after school just hanging out at home.

Thursday-No plans for today just hanging out at home.

Friday-P has school in the morning but no plans for the rest of the day.

Saturday-The kids have their final soccer games of the season.  If S wins his team will be undefeated for the season.  As soon as S’s game is done B and I are heading home to get ready to go to South Bend for the Garth Brooks concert at the Notre Dame Stadium.  It is going to be epic!

Sunday-After B and I wake up and recover we are going to do something Halloweenish with the kids.  Either the short train ride in Findlay or even maybe Cedar Point?  It’s just going to depend on the weather.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
