Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday-P has school in the morning.  After school I am going to take P to get her Halloween pictures.  I usually do them in September but P has been refusing to get pictures.  I finally got her to agree so I am taking advantage of it.  I think S is old enough now that he doesn’t have to go and get pictures for Halloween.  After school S has his last soccer practice.

Tuesday-B is going to work early so I am on my own running the kiddos around.  S has catechism and piano lessons after school.  I have to work in a quick dinner between the two in the car.  P is going to have to run around with me so that will either go well or terribly bad.

Wednesday-P has her first field trip for preschool.  We are going to Fleitz Pumpkin Farm.  She is excited to go and I am so I can figure out which kids are which that she talks about.   No plans after school just hanging out at home.

Thursday-No plans for today just hanging out at home.

Friday-P has school in the morning but no plans for the rest of the day.

Saturday-The kids have their final soccer games of the season.  If S wins his team will be undefeated for the season.  As soon as S’s game is done B and I are heading home to get ready to go to South Bend for the Garth Brooks concert at the Notre Dame Stadium.  It is going to be epic!

Sunday-After B and I wake up and recover we are going to do something Halloweenish with the kids.  Either the short train ride in Findlay or even maybe Cedar Point?  It’s just going to depend on the weather.

Last Week Recap

Monday P had school in the morning.  In the afternoon, I wanted to take advantage of the pool and warm/hot weather so we went swimming.  S got to jump in the pool after school and before he had soccer practice.  P and I took him to practice.  While he was practicing we sat in the car.  I bribed P with Doritos to keep her happy and her tablet.  While she was doing that I wrote some blog posts.  It was a productive hour for everyone.  When we got home S wanted to swim more so I sat out with him and he swam for an hour by himself.  We literally were outside until after dark.

Tuesday was another hot day. I spent the afternoon floating around in the pool reading until P decided she was ready to come out and swim.  We spent the rest of the day swimming.  S had catechism but not piano this week.  So he got to come home after catechism and swim until it was time to call it a night.  I think they swam until like 7:45pm.  The last warm day to take advantage of the pool.

Wednesday P had a meltdown when it came to going to school.  I had to bribe her and actually walk her into her classroom.  I convinced her to stay and that the teacher could call me if she decided to come home.  She made it the whole time and we just hung out at home the rest of the day.

Thursday P and I drove down to Haslinger’s Orchard and got apples and apple cider.  Thankfully, she fell asleep on the way home and got a much needed nap.  We went to iHop for dinner.  We are trying to make sure S has no more issues with eating out at a restaurant.  Of course, when everyone gets there meals his was the only one that was wrong.  He handled it well and ate dinner.

Friday P went to school and it was pajamas day.  She picked to wear her Elena of Avalor fleece jammies, which worked out because it was chilly.  While she was gone May and I watched The Romanoffs on Amazon Prime.  I was bummed to see only two episodes had been released.  I was hoping to be able to binge watch it and not have one episode released a week.  The rest of the day I spent folding laundry and getting stuff around the house done.

Saturday we had soccer games in the morning.  The rest of the day we just hung out at home.

Sunday was another day of hanging out at home.

Last Week

Monday-P has school in the morning.  It is going to be super-hot (high 89°), which is unheard of this late in October.  In any event we will be swimming in the afternoon.  S has soccer in the evening and then we will go home and chill or swim some more depending on the temperature and how the kiddos are acting.

Tuesday-Another nice day in the upper 80s.  We are going to swim as much as we can today.  This will be the last day of the pool for this season.  S has catechism after school, but that is it.

Wednesday-It is still going to be nice in the upper 70s. P has school in the morning and then we may try to take the boat out one last time for the season as soon as S gets home from school.  It all will depend on the weather.

Thursday-B has Donuts for Dads in the morning with S.  P and I are hanging out at home.  S had his piano lessons moved to today (just for the week) so he has those after school.  I think we are going to try to go out to eat after his lessons.

Friday-P has school in the morning.  She is so excited they are having a pajama party and she can’t decide what she is going to wear.  Should she wear a nightgown, or fuzzy jammies.  The life decisions of a 4-year old.  I am excited because a new show starts on Amazon Prime, The Romanoffs.  This is May’s last day of maternity leave so we are going to binge watch as much as we can.

Saturday-The kids both have soccer games in the morning.  Not much else planned for the day.  It is going to be a big difference from Monday with a high of 57°. I am not sure I will be able to convince them to play outside all day.

Sunday-No plans for today just hanging out at home.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
