Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday-P has school in the morning.  It is going to be super-hot (high 89°), which is unheard of this late in October.  In any event we will be swimming in the afternoon.  S has soccer in the evening and then we will go home and chill or swim some more depending on the temperature and how the kiddos are acting.

Tuesday-Another nice day in the upper 80s.  We are going to swim as much as we can today.  This will be the last day of the pool for this season.  S has catechism after school, but that is it.

Wednesday-It is still going to be nice in the upper 70s. P has school in the morning and then we may try to take the boat out one last time for the season as soon as S gets home from school.  It all will depend on the weather.

Thursday-B has Donuts for Dads in the morning with S.  P and I are hanging out at home.  S had his piano lessons moved to today (just for the week) so he has those after school.  I think we are going to try to go out to eat after his lessons.

Friday-P has school in the morning.  She is so excited they are having a pajama party and she can’t decide what she is going to wear.  Should she wear a nightgown, or fuzzy jammies?  The life decisions of a 4-year old.  I am excited because a new show starts on Amazon Prime, The Romanoffs.  This is May’s last day of maternity leave so we are going to binge watch as much as we can.

Saturday-The kids both have soccer games in the morning.  Not much else planned for the day.  It is going to be a big difference from Monday with a high of 57°. I am not sure I will be able to convince them to play outside all day.

Sunday-No plans for today just hanging out at home.

Last Week Recap

Not too much going on last week.

Monday P had school and I watched Little A.  S had soccer after school but B took him to that and I stayed home with P.

Tuesday P and I hung out at home watching Little A.  After school S had catechism and then piano lessons.

Wednesday P had school in the morning and I was watching Little A.  This was my last day of watching her during the day.  My sister found a sitter.  I was so tired after she left that I ended up taking a nap and P went grocery shopping with B.  P had Dad’s Night Out at school.  They went to P’s school for an hour.  The kids sang a song for the dads, did an art project, and played.  P came home with some cute stuff, but what she said about B was priceless!

Thursday P went to play with Grandma G all day and B and I went to Cincinnati for a concert.  We went to see Chris Stapleton.  Yes, we drove 3 hours to see him.  It was the closest venue and I really wanted to see him.  It was totally worth it and was an amazing concert.  Other than it taking us an hour to move 100ft. to get out of the parking lot after the concert it was not a bad drive down or back.  I did sleep on the way back but that is to be expected.  While we were down there we made a trip to IKEA.  I am not sure if it was because it was a weekday during the day or if it was just the store but it was dead.  When I say dead I mean it.  There were hardly any cars or customers.  We found a few things we didn’t need but bought anyways.

Friday morning was rough.  I got up with the kids and let B sleep in because he had to work that night.  Once I got P to school I went home and took a nap.  Well it still wasn’t enough for me and after I got P from school I woke B up and took another much needed nap.  We just hung out at home the rest of the day.

Saturday we went over to the neighbor’s in the morning for breakfast (really to eat donuts).  I took the kids to the Home Depot build and then off to soccer games we went.  P refused to put on her soccer stuff and kept saying she is not playing.  I told her if she didn’t want to play she had to at least go and cheer her team on.  She was all for that as long as she didn’t have to play.  Well when we got there she wanted to practice with them but I told her it was against the rules if she was not wearing all her soccer stuff.  That changed her mind and she practiced with them and then ended up playing.  She was the only one on her team that didn’t cry!  She even wiped out on the ground and still no tears.  It was pretty warm and they were both sweaty when we got home.  My sister came over with Little P in the afternoon so they got to play with her.  It’s always a good day when you get to see your cousins!

Sunday we hung out at home in the morning.  We went over to May’s to make haunted gingerbread houses.  The kids had a blast making and decorating them.  P really like sneaking pieces of candy corn when I wasn’t looking.  We hung out for a while and then went home.  The rest of the day was just hanging out.

Last Week

Monday-I have Little A all day.  P has school in the morning and then I have an eye doctor appointment.  After school S has soccer practice.

Tuesday-I have Little A again.  It is going to be nice outside so I am hoping to have P play outside as much as possible.  S has catechism after school and then piano lessons.

Wednesday-I am not sure if I have Little A or not.  P has school in the morning.  The rest of the day we are hanging out at home.  It is going to be in the 80’s so this may be the last chance for the kids to swim in the pool this year.

Thursday-B and I are going to see Chris Stapleton.  P is going to hang out with grandma and S will when he gets home from school.

Friday-P has school in the morning, and then I am taking a nap while she is at school.  I am sure Thursday is going to be a late night.

Saturday-There is a Home Depot build in the morning for the kids.  We also have soccer games.  I hope P will play this week.  I guess it depends on her mood.

Sunday-B and I are going to try to take the kids on a small train ride to a pumpkin patch.  They will really like it but probably be a little disappointed it is not a real train ride.  Either way we will make it a good time.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
