Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Seriously, we have no plans for the entire week.  S is headed back to school, B took the week off work, and we have nothing planned.

My Weekly Goals-I would like to work on P’s invitations for her party to get them out.  It will be here before you know it.

Monday-B is off so we are hanging out at home.  S goes back to school today and I am so excited.  I would like to get all the Easter decorations down.

Tuesday-Another day of hanging out.

Wednesday-Again, another day of hanging out at home.

Thursday-Still another day of hanging out at home.

Friday-A quiet day at home.

Saturday-S has a build at Lowes to make a bird feeder.  Otherwise we are hanging out at home.

Sunday-Just another day at home

Last Week Recap

S was off all week on spring break.  S and P had colds all week so we basically hung out around the house.  I started watching Season 2 of Game of Thrones.  I am still not sure about the show.  For me it is hard to follow and understand what they are saying.

Tuesday I went to a painting class with my sisters and neighbors and had a blast.  B, P, and S went out to B’s cousins so S could play with his cousin L.  Somehow S convinced B to let him stay out there until after my painting class was over and I picked him up.  It was 10pm before I even got him.  Way past his bedtime.

Wednesday we ran to Costco in the morning and then went to Sidecut Park so S and P could play with their cousins on the playground and walk along the river.

Thursday I spent the whole morning and most of the afternoon shopping at all the Targets for the 70% Easter clearance.

Friday we went to Target again to get the storage cabinets for B and hung out at home the rest of the day.  S and P jumped in the bounce house most of the day when P wasn’t napping.

Saturday we went to Target and Home Depot in the morning.  We got candy at 70% off for P’s party and did a build at Home Depot with S.  After we went home, P took a nap and I got ready for a wedding we were attending.  We went to the wedding and P got her first taste of a Smartie.  She loved them.  After the wedding we went home for a few hours and waited for B to get off work.  While we waited I had S play on his tablet so he would not get messy and hairy in his good clothes.  P and I took ours off so we didn’t get them messy.  I was curling my hair and had P take a bath to keep her busy.  She had a great time splashing and playing.  At the reception all P wanted to do was dance.  She was very patient for a toddler and when it was time got her groove on she did.  I couldn’t get enough of watching her.  She was out there busting a move with anyone who would dance.  S was out there dancing cracking me up with his moves.  We had to tell him to stop break dancing and take it down a notch.  He was crazy.  He kept doing this move and would kick up his left foot behind him.  He was out there busting a move until he fell and hurt his wrist.  After that he was ready to go home.  We left the reception around 10pm and I had to take P kicking and screaming because she wanted to keep dancing.  No joke!

Sunday we ran to three of the four Targets when P got up in the morning.  P took a nap when we got home and I took the second half of her nap with her so she would sleep longer.  My sister came over at S’s request to play games with him during P’s nap.  B and I got a nice treat and my sister watched the kids for an hour so we could run to Target together to check out another storage unit.  Unfortunately, they didn’t have it, but B and I did get some quality time together.  It was a nice change of pace.

Last Week

Let me just start off by saying this week is running away from me.  Between S being off, B being off a few days, and P being sick (nasty cold) I have not had a chance to even get to my regular post.  I am still around, but P seems to wake up every time I sit down at the computer.

My Weekly Goals-Hit up Target when the Easter clearance goes 70% off (I am guessing Thursday for us).

Monday-We are just hanging out at home.  B is sleeping in this morning and then has to work tonight.

Tuesday-No plans just hanging out at home during the day.  I am going to a painting class in the evening with my sisters and neighbor.

Wednesday-I need to run to Costco and get the kids spring cards/pictures to send out.  Otherwise it looks like it is going to be nice outside.

Thursday-I am running to Target when I get up if P cooperates and will stay home with B.  I may even run to a second Target if the Easter clearance is 70% off.  I am looking for stuff to help make decorations for P’s birthday party.

Friday-B is working so I have no plans other than hanging out at home.

Saturday-There is a build at Home Depot in the morning for S.  We have a wedding in the afternoon and then will come home for a few hours before the wedding reception.  B has to work so we are waiting at home for him before we go to the reception.

Sunday-Today will be a catch-up day to ensure we have all of S’s homework done for school and hopefully the kids will sleep in.  I am hoping Easter clearance does not go 90% until tomorrow because B is working today but off tomorrow.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
