Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Weekly Goals-I am hoping to get everything ready for the garage sale and then sell it all at the garage sale this weekend.

Monday-S has tee ball in the morning and then swim. B is working for the landscaper all day. I am hoping to get a little done for the garage sale it all depends if P cooperates. In the late afternoon/early evening I plan on going to my parents to go swimming with the kids.

Tuesday-S has swim in the morning and hopefully the rest of the day I can work on getting everything ready for the garage sale.

Wednesday-S has swim and this is the last day to get ready for the garage sale. This is going to be the first garage sale I have ever actually done where I sell my stuff. I have helped my mom but never done my own.

Thursday-S has tee ball in the morning and swim. We are having our garage sale. B and I still haven’t worked out who is going to stay home and man the garage sale and who is going to take S to his stuff. My niece is turning 11 today so we are headed over to her house in the evening for dinner and cake.

Friday-S has soccer clinic and we are having the second day of the garage sale. B is off to work in the evening.

Saturday-We are only going to have the garage sale today if necessary. As of Sunday night they are predicting it to be in the 90s on Saturday. Too hot for me to be sitting around trying to sell stuff. B will be sleeping most of the morning and that means I have to take care of two kids and try to run a garage sale. Probably not, but you never know.

Sunday-It is going to be another hot day. If we don’t have the pool set up in the backyard yet, then I am headed to my parents to swim the day away. We will definitely head over there in the morning while B is sleeping.

Last Week Recap

I have totally been slacking this past week. Right now as I type this I am trying not to fall asleep and it is only 10:30pm. I never did a Foto Friday and nothing for Saturday. Since Saturday Strike is done and I stopped doing Silly Saturday I need to think up something different for Saturday. I try to be consistent and always doing one post per day. Depending on the day depends on the posts and then maybe an occasional review of a product and a little ranting. Maybe I will do a make-up Foto Friday on Tuesday or something silly like that. I took a ton of pictures of the flooded Maumee River and that is what I was going to show on Foto Friday. I hate for all of those pictures to go to waste. It will just depend because there is so much to do this week.

Last Monday after swim we drove up to Grand Rapids to check out how flooded the Maumee River was. Thankfully P fell asleep on the drive. S loved looking at all the wreckage from the flooding. I cannot believe what destruction happened. I saw online on one of the Facebook sites that someone had managed to catch a dock with two boats attached to it and were looking for their owners. A bunch of docks broke free and the boats that were attached went down the river with the docks. It was a crazy few days.

Tuesday we had swim and then basically hung out at home the rest of the day. In the evening, S and I went to the Mud Hens game until it started to rain. We left at just the right time. When we got into the car it started to downpour.

Wednesday was another day of swim in the morning and then hanging out at home. The weather was perfect for playing outside.

Thursday S had swim, and then we just hung out at home. I went through all the baby clothes that were 0-9 months and got them sorted. B ended up taking the S to his mom’s while he went to the farmer’s market and I stayed home with P while she slept.

Friday B’s cousin came over and went through all the boys’ baby clothes and took a ton. I took S to his last swim class of the session, and then my neighbor came home and went through all the girls baby clothes. Not much left for a garage sale. Now I have to go through the rest of the baby clothes. We had B’s family over for dinner and then we all headed to the fireworks. S of course loved watching the fireworks. P was old enough to realize what fireworks were (last year she was only 6 weeks old and slept) and loved them. She was excited and kept clapping and cheering at the fireworks. If they took too long between each firework she would get bored and start crawling around.

Saturday we went to the Home Depot build in the morning and then headed to B’s aunts to pick raspberries. We got about 4 quarts of black raspberries and 2 quarts of red raspberries. We need to go back in a few days to get more. After P’s nap we headed to my aunt and uncle’s for a cookout and then fireworks. P sat with my aunt and uncle and again loved the fireworks. She was jumping, clapping, and cheering for the fireworks. It was so much fun to watch her.

Sunday was a relaxation morning. We hung out, P took her nap, and S played outside with his cousin. After P’s nap I made a few black raspberry pies and then headed to the neighbors for a cookout. S loves playing with the boys and P tagged along. They both had a blast playing in the pool. B came over to relieve me with watching S swim so I could take P home for a nap.

Last Week

We are in for a busy week. This this coming weekend being a holiday we have plans galore.

Weekly Goals-I would love to get caught up on the few reviews that I need to get done this week.

Monday-S has tee ball bright and early at 8:30, we have swim afterward and need to make some pies. B is itching to get a black raspberry pie and maybe a strawberry pie if the strawberries don’t go bad first.

Tuesday-We have swim in the morning, and either more pie making or maybe some 4th of July treats. When B gets home from work S and I are going to the Mud Hens game. As of now B will keep P but you never know she may end up going with us.

Wednesday-Another morning of swim, and I know we need to pick cherries at B’s aunts before they are all gone.

Thursday-We have tee ball in the morning, swim afterward and then the farmer’s market when B gets home from work.

Friday-S has make-up swim class in the morning. He is going to have to miss is soccer clinic because it is the same time as swim. I need to make sure P gets all her naps so she is not fussy for the fireworks. We have our local fireworks in the evening that we always go too. Usually my sister’s and niece’s will come along with my parents.

Saturday-Today is the 4th, so I am going to see if I can find a parade for us to attend in the morning/early afternoon. We will go to the fireworks again at a neighboring town. We have done this too, since S was a baby. My dad usually goes with us as long as he is not working. We park at a church away from the fireworks so it is not terribly busy and the kids can run around. We always have a great view of the fireworks.

Sunday-My aunt and uncle invited us to their town for another night of fireworks. We tried this last year and S never made it out to the fireworks and fell asleep on the way. B and I watched the fireworks as the two little ones slept in the back of the car.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
