House Party Saute Express Seasoned Meal Starter Party Review

I recently was selected to host a Sauté Express House Party from www.HouseParty.com.  I had no idea when I was going to host the party and then it just worked out that we had P’s baptism so I decided to do both at the same time.  I totally forgot it was coming in the mail so when my front doorbell rang it was a surprise to all of us.  Of course I had to dive right in and open the box to see what was included in the kit.

I had to invite at least 10 guests to the party. Well since I did things a little different this time I did invite 10 people on the House Party website, but sent invitations out for P’s baptism.  When it was all said and done there were about 40 people (combining adults and children) for the party.

The party pack included the following:

  • 2 VIP coupons for free Sauté Express Seasoned Meal Starter

The Sauté Express Seasoned Meal Starters can be found in the dairy aisle next to the butter. Since we were going for a fall theme to P’s baptism party our menu consisted of the following:

  • Chili (Vegetarian, Mild, Medium, & Hot)
  • Salad with Olive Garden Salad Dressing
  • Tomato, Cheese and Herb Butter Garlic Bread
  • Rolls
  • Apple Pie
  • Cupcakes (Vanilla, Chocolate, and Chocolate/Vanilla swirl)

Going with the fall theme and our ideas of what we were going to make we wondered how could we incorporate the Sauté Express Seasoned Meal Starters? Since B is the better cook in our family I left it up to him to come up with the solution to this question.  The chili hit the spot and everyone really enjoyed it.  You may ask what did we use the Sauté Express Seasoned Meal Starter on?  I’m glad you asked.

We used the Garlic & Herb mixed with butter to season the French bread we used to make the Tomato, Cheese, & Herb Butter Garlic Bread. It was quite simple to make.  B simply softened two Garlic & Herb Sauté Express squares in the microwave to be mixed with softened Land O’Lakes Butter to create a nice garlic and herb butter.  The butter was then spread on French bread that had already been baked in the oven per there instructions.  On top of the butter spread sliced tomatoes were spread out and a mozzarella/parmesan cheese mixture was sprinkled over the tomatoes.  It then went into the oven until the cheese was melted and bubbling.

I wish I could say that I got some pictures of the finished tomato bread, but sadly I did not. As host of the party I was so busy making sure everyone had everything that they needed by the time I got around to getting pictures of the food all the tomato bread was gone.  I managed to snag one of the last two pieces of bread.  B made three loaves of tomato bread and they flew off the tray.  The evening was then completed with dessert of either apple pie or cupcakes.

I left the recipe cards with coupons out on the tables for anyone to take so they too could try out Sauté Express Seasoned Meal Starter Kits. I really enjoyed hosting this party for my daughter’s baptism and House Party and hope to be able to do many more.
