I was so excited to get this and show it to S. I knew he would think it is the coolest thing ever to have a dog that would cut his hotdog for him. The bonus was the dog dish that would hold the ketchup. When I got this in the mail I let S open it and he could not figure out what this was used for.
The Hot Dog Slic’r came in two pieces. The tray the hotdog and ketchup sits in and the dog that cuts the hotdog. I was happy to see that both pieces were all plastic so I don’t have to worry about S cutting himself if he wants to try to cut the hotdog on his own. When it came to actually trying to cut the hotdog it was actually pretty hard. I had to wiggle the dog back and forth to get it to cut through the hotdog. Once I finally got through the dog I had to push each piece of hotdog back through the holes to get the dog off the tray so S could eat his dinner.
I stuck the two pieces in the dishwasher to clean and they came out completely clean. We haven’t used it again because it was so difficult to cut the hotdogs. It was easier and faster to cut the hotdog myself. #rangehoodslicer
