  • S got his Carefree Crafts April package last week and a basket included came damaged.  They were so great about fixing the problem they sent out another basket to replace it and a special gift for S.  He was so thrilled to see a Thomas the Train water bottle in the box he completely forgot about the craft.  It totally made his day/week.
  • S came to me and told me he hurt his fingers so he had to put bandages on them.  It was a first for him, he actually kept the bandages on all day long.  When we took the bandages off before his bath all the ouchies had magically disappeared and were all better.

  • S has been begging to do practice Easter egg hunts.  I finally gave in, but he had to wear the bunny ears that we made.  He has been wearing them all week.  He will disappear and come back with the ears on telling me that he is ready for another egg hunt.  I don’t tend to hide the eggs very hard, but B he totally hides them in some hard places.  I hope the Easter Bunny takes it easy on S.

  • At zoo school this week, S made a caterpillar using balloons to make the body segments.  I have never seen them do this before and thought it was a cool idea.  S was okay with it, but he is very particular and did not like that the body was not the same.  On the sample the caterpillar only had one leg on each segment.  He was sure to tell the teacher that there should be two legs on each segment and his caterpillar was done the right way.
  • After zoo school, S chose to go home and play in the sand instead of the zoo or a park.  He played out in the sand for over an hour and a half before we was ready for a break and something to eat.

  • After we were done playing in the sand and had lunch, S wanted to work on his “school work.”  He was only too happy to sit and work on abcmouse.com.  He worked on the computer for over an hour before I told him that was enough work for one day.  S reluctantly agreed with me and decided to go back outside to play.
  • S begged to have us put his training wheels back on his bike.  I agreed under one condition, he had to ride the third wheel behind B.  He was okay with that and told me “deal.”  For the next few hours until after B got home, S worked on his skid marks and burn outs leaving orange tracks behind him.  He really liked that the training wheels made him wobbly and he was more “dangerous.”  Not sure what that means, but whatever keeps you happy kid.
