Elf Antics Recap 2

I know this recap is about two weeks late, but better late than never.  I knew if I did not do this recap I would regret it next year when I did the elf again.  So here is the recap for the second half of December starting the 15th.  The elf did not make an appearance in our house until the 7th.  We tell S that the elf only comes if Santa is not sure if you should be on the nice list.  Click here for the first part of the Elf Antic Recap.

Day 9-December 15

S thought it was hilarious that the elf was peeking out of the shutters where the movies go.  There were even two candy canes one hanging from each foot.  S was jumping to get them when I reminded him about not touching the elf.  The next morning S was surprised with the two candy canes left for him by the elf in his advent truck.

Day 10-December 16

The next night the elf was hanging out on the Christmas cards.  I think it is hilarious that S notices suction cups holding the elf up, but does notice the clips on the elf’s shoulders holding him in place.

Day 11-December 17

S was so excited when he woke up and saw the elf was in his bedroom.  He came running into my bedroom excited waking me up to tell me about the elf in his room.  I had to get right out of bed and run in there to see the elf.  He just kept saying, “I thought I heard him coming in my room last night.”  Sure you did.

Day 12-December 18

It took a while for S to realize the elf was on the chandelier.  I finally got him to find the elf by asking him to turn the light on.  He just thought the elf was being crazy.

Day 13-December 19

S thought it was funny to see the elf hanging from the ceiling.  Once he realized the elf was using his beads to hang from he asked where he got them from.  I told him he left them in his grocery cart and the elf must have seen them.  Sometimes it’s nice kids are gullible.

Day 14-December 20

S liked that the elf was in his little gingerbread tree farm.  I should have taken a bite out of one of the gingerbread trees saying the elf did it. Maybe that would have been too weird.

Day 15-December 21

The elf looks like he is doing a little dance on the door molding.  I thought it was funny too that he looks like he is trying to hold the sign up.

Day 16-December 22

S kept asking why the elf never went in the bathroom.  Well he got his wish and the elf was riding a duck one day on top of the mirror.  We had to be careful not to open the one mirror door or the elf would have taken a dive.

Day 17-December 23

I think this was the best.  S loved seeing him up on the fan and kept turning the light and the fan on and off.  That elf was sturdy and never moved all day.

Day 18-December 24

S loves jack-in-the-boxes.  We got a Snoopy jack-in-the-box when S was a year old and loves it every Christmas when we get it out.  The elf smooshed down Snoopy and acted like it was taking its place.  We put it on top of the entertainment center so S would not try to play with it.

S loves the elf and keeps asking when he will come back.  We tell him he only works in December after Thanksgiving until Christmas.  The last week before Christmas the elf upped the ante and gave S a pack of fruit snacks in the advent truck everyday instead of two jelly beans.  This was a real treat for S because it is not something he ever gets.  These were like M&Ms to him.  The elf did help this year with S being really good for the Christmas season.
