I like scrapbooking. I don’t get to do it nearly as much as I used too. Life, kids it all gets in the way. I would actively scrapbook before kids every night, weekend, or whenever I felt like it. I kept a scrapbook for each year B and I were together and for each vacation we took. When I got pregnant with S scrapbooking slowed way down, but I was able to do almost the entire first year of S’s life, P not so much. I haven’t scrapbooked in quite a while. I do still make cards, and gift tags. I have in the past cut out design on vinyl for my mom to do craft projects with.
I got a Cricut in the prime of my scrapbooking days and used it constantly. I still use it to make holiday cards to send the kids pictures in and for various things. The Cricut is the perfect machine to cut out clean images in vinyl stickers. My neighbor is due to give birth to her second child, a girl, any day now, and wants to decorate the room with hot air balloons. With a sharp new blade and a clean mat I am ready to go in cutting out shapes.
I got 35 6×12 vinyl sheets. Not one is a repeat of another. There were many shades and finishes. Some were matte and others were a glossy finish. The sheets easily went in the Cricut and cut out the shapes I planned on making. The stickers came out clean. Most of the time it is recommended to use transfer sheets when removing the vinyl stickers from the backing to stop distortions. I was very careful and did not pull so removing the stickers was not an issue.
I think the vinyl stickers turned out great. Unfortunately, I was so excited I forgot to take pictures of the finished products. I am going to try and cut out a few more for review purposes. Check back and I will add the pictures once they are done.
