ShiShu Creations Baby Weaning Bib Review

I am always looking for new and improved baby products that I can share with others and give for baby shower gifts.  I don’t just want to find the everyday item that everyone else does, but that everyday item enhanced.  This time I found a baby bib that is so much more than just a plain bib.

I am not a fan of baby lead weaning (which is when you put the food you are eating out for your child and they feed themselves instead of doing baby food first), but know many are.  The ShiShu Creations Baby Weaning Bib is the perfect compliment to cleaning up the messes from a baby feeding themselves.  This bib is long sleeve, with a Velcro closure on the back of the neck and an elastic Velcro strap that can be used to secure the bottom of the bib around a highchair tray.  Since the bib is washable by hand, machine, or simply wiped off it makes cleaning the bib after eating an easy task.  Instead of having to worry about food falling down onto the baby’s lap between the tray and baby this bib will catch it all making clean up much easier.  Although if you have a dog, they won’t like the bib!

I used the bib on, Tiny, to see if it would still work for her when she wasn’t sitting in a highchair and I was pleasantly surprised.  It was simple to put the bib on through her arms and securing it around the neck.  I just laid the bib out on the table and put her food and drink on top of the bib.  It managed to catch all of her crumbs and noodles that somehow either missed her mouth or fell out of her bowl without making the table or floor a mess.  When it came time to clean her up, I took the bib off and cleaned it up in the sink.  Once I washed it, I hung it over the back of a chair to dry for her next meal.

The ShiShu Creations Baby Weaning Bib can also be used as an artist smock.  This is perfect because the strap that attached around a baby highchair tray can now be secured around the baby/toddler’s waist preventing clothes from getting stained when painting or coloring.  Since this came as a 2-pack of bibs I took the other bib and left it at the art table so Tiny could put it on when she was feeling artistic.  While I didn’t catch her wearing the bib, I did see that when see managed to get it off she left it on the corner of the art table for the next time she decided to paint.
