I have been working for a few years to transition P to a little girls room. She has not had a clear idea of what she wants so as she is getting older we have slowly made changes. I think at this point her room is about done. I initially got her a net curtain that had purple, blue, and green in it. She loved it at first but then somehow got scared of it and wanted it taken down. I thought that was a bust.
I was given a chance to review this mosquito net curtain and thought maybe she would like it better. The netting is white and has tiny glow-in-the-dark stars attached to it. When I hung it in P’s room and surprised her with it she was super excited. She loved that it was white so it didn’t make it so “dark.” The first night I hung up the net curtain the stars did now glow at all in the dark. I thought maybe they just need to be in the light all day so they would work the next night. Unfortunately, the stars have not glowed once for us.
P doesn’t seem to mind and loves having the net curtain hanging. She also likes to have it surround her bed when she is playing. I don’t let her keep the netting around the bed when she is sleeping because I don’t want her to get tangled in it if she wakes up in the middle of the night.
