IPINK 16G Stainless Steel Cartilage Earrings, 7-pack Review

I have had my ears pierced since I was kid and have always liked to wear earrings.  Being a stay-at-home mom there is not much opportunity (for me anyways) to wear earrings.  It just doesn’t seem to fit in with how I am now.  But when I do get to wear earrings, I am conscious of what type I choose.  I don’t really like to wear earrings that have post and backs anymore because they always seem to poke my head behind my ear, whether it be because I have a sleeping baby on my shoulder, a crying toddler throwing a tantrum, or a little girl who is inquisitive about earrings and like to poke at them when I wear them.

I decided to try the IPINK 16G Stainless Steel Earring set because the backs were flat and they screwed on.  Well I should have done a little more homework before ordering them.  Most earring posts are 18G-20G, which means the post themselves are skinnier.  I thought I could get these in my earring holes because I have worn all kinds of earrings and never seemed to have a problem.  I am not joking when I say it must have taken me 5 minutes to get them in and that is with the help of P.  They were so hard to push through, that I thought maybe the post were shorter and that was what the 16G meant length.  After finally getting them through and screwing on the backs they were not bad.  My ears were irritated and swollen from trying to put the earring in so I decided to leave them in for a few hours so see if I could get used to them.  Jump ahead to 3 hours later and they were still bugging my ears.  I really think it was because of the thickness of the post.  I do not have sensitive ears and usually can wear any type of earring.  I have no idea how people can stretch there earring holes so big, when just going up a size in the thickness of the post hurt and bothered me so much.  I took them out to the relief of my ears and decided they are just not for me.  Had I used them for the true purpose of wearing them in the cartilage of my ear they may have fit better.

That being said the earrings are really cute.  I love the different options of what is dangling and not a traditional hope earring.  The earrings are made of 316L Stainless Steel with the option of Silver-tone, Rose Gold, or Black-tone Plating.
