7-Pack Dog Toys Review

With two dogs in our house, there are always a few dog toys lying around.  PJ (our bigger dog, but really medium sized), is an avid chewer.  While we have trained her well, so she only chews on dog toys, if she can find one, she will destroy it.  Thankfully, she has never tried to chew baby toys, the kid’s stuffed animals, furniture, or shoes.  If she finds a tennis ball in the house, she will chew on it until it is in pieces.  Will she fetch it if I throw it?  Not usually, she may go get the ball when you throw it but she does not bring it back and never has.  She loves stuffed animals with squeakers in them, stuffed toys to take all the cotton out.

We have bought her name brand toys that are indestructible for dogs, but somehow, she must be super dog.  She can chew bits off of those toys until they are gone.  She does have one stuffed duck that has been destuffed for at least 5 years now that we call her “baby.”  She carries it around with her, sometimes outside but never onto the grass and usually not off the deck.  She may pull at it but does not take it apart.  She loves ropes.  PJ used to play tug of war but now that she is getting older, she prefers to chew on it by herself.

When given the opportunity to review this 7-Pack of dog toys I saw quite a few items she would like.   I got the toys out of the drawstring bag they came in one by one.  She didn’t really care for the green teether with feet.  It is supposed to help clean teeth but she was totally disinterested.  The teal ball she chased around but lost interest.  I am sure if I put treats inside of it, she would play with it but just until she got the treats out.  The pink ball made weird noises when it is rolled around.  She was curious what it was but when she couldn’t pick it up in her mouth, she left it alone.  The kids actually liked it more than she did.  The egg and giraffe have been chewed and destuffed within a day.  The dog she likes because of the rope and stuffing in it.  She has been playing with it off and on a few minutes at a time.  Knowing how much she loves ropes I saved it for last.  When I got it out of the bag, she literally walked over to me and took it right out of my hands like it was a treat.  She took it so nice from me.  When I took it back to get a picture of all of the toys she kept creeping over and taking the rope hoping I wouldn’t notice.  I literally had to take the picture 4 times before I could get a shot with the rope in the picture.

We have had the toys now for just over a week and the toys have survived so-so.  The rope is semi-intact.  It has been chewed and unraveled slightly but PJ is still carrying it around and chewing on it.  The dog is intact.  The giraffe and egg are long gone.  The green feet, and teal ball have not been touched since I opened them.  The pink ball has officially been confiscated by the kids.
