Mokita Naturals Microsphere Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Disclaimer:  I received this product for free or highly discounted in exchange for an honest review.  All thoughts and opinions expressed are mine.

I don’t really use any products on my hair so I feel when I try out a product on my hair it is a good indication of how the product is actually working since there isn’t anything that counteracts with it. I guess you could say my hair is a good guinea pig when it comes to trying new hair products. That being said when given the chance to try the Mokita Naturals Microsphere Shampoo and Conditioner I was willing to give it a shot.  The shampoo and conditioner are supposed to help with hair growth and thickness, rejuvenate hair follicles, and block the hormones that causes thinning of hair.  I don’t have a problem with hair thinning or a need for hair growth or thickness but am always up for more volume, increased shine and appearance.  The way Mokita Naturals is different from other products is they use Procyanidin B2.  Procyanidin oligomers from apples have been shown to promote thicker looking hair.  Biotinyl-GHK, a biotin tripeptide scientifically proven to stimulate and activate hair follicles.  The last is Apigenin, which improves microcirculation which increases blood flow in the scalp.  Caffeine in the shampoo increases cyclic AMP levels in cells and stimulates hair follicle metabolism to ultimately counteract DHT-induced hair follicle miniaturization.

That was a lot of scientific information but here are my thoughts on each without the long words!  First off, the shampoo.  When I smelled it the first thing that came to me was liquid school glue.  I was hesitant to put anything in my hair that smelled like glue in case it really was glue.  I took a chance and used it anyways.  It did not suds up nearly as much as my regular hair shampoo does.  My hair did feel clean after I rinsed it out and did not feel striped of any natural oils.  After a few days of using it I no longer thought it smelled like school glue but instead fingernail polish remover.  Onto the conditioner.  The conditioner had a very fragrant floral scent.  In fact, it was almost too much for me.  I thought maybe the conditioner had some sort of extracts in it and that was the cause for the strong scent.  I used it and was while I didn’t love the scent of it, I did find that it did a nice job of untangling my hair without it feeling weighted down with extra products.

When I was done, I let my hair half air dry and finished it with a blow-drying brush.  I could not really feel or see a difference after using the Mokita Naturals Microsphere Shampoo and Conditioner.  I continued to use it for a week straight and could not see or feel any difference in my hair.  Overall, it did work as a  shampoo and conditioner to clean and untangle my hair.  Since I was not using it to stimulate hair growth or minimize thinning of the hair, I would say it is not worth the cost of the product.
