Wild Wednesday

Wild Wednesday is about all the crazy or unbelievable things that have happened in the last week to me, in the news, pop culture, etc.

Since last Wednesday here is what has happened:

  • Yesterday we were playing outside and P discovered standing water where the pool goes in the summer and started jumping in it.  With her little feet they were quickly covered in water.  The puddle wasn’t big or deep but to her it covered her shoes.  So today we were letting them dry out and she had another pair of shoes on.  We were playing out front rehanging eggs that blew off the trees.  We went in the backyard for two minutes and by the time I had the gate closed she was already in a new puddle from the rain last night up to her ankles in water.  It’s like a magnet for her.
  • The unthinkable happened yesterday.  S was going around the cul-de-sac and ran his sister over.  I mean plowed into her.  I think he spaced out and was not paying attention and before I could yell to watch out he had run right into her.  I am not one to overreact, but I screamed really loud.  She cried, but was okay.  She walked away with a scratch on her foot and nothing else.  Today she was right back outside playing and never looked back.
  • I made Shamrock cookies and frosted them.  They turned out fantastic and I am pretty sure we are going to make them for Easter (in bunnies and eggs).

  • B told me they are putting him on shutdown (he works a ton as they repair the refinery) a few weeks earlier than planned.  So it looks like I am going to be a single parent come middle of April until the end of the summer.  (He will be around but not nearly like he is now, and no vacations.)
  • P loves Toy Story, still.  We have little Toy Story figurines from when S was little and got them out.  S and I made her a Toy Story Train like they have at the beginning of Toy Story 3.  I don’t know who is enjoying it more between the three of us.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
