Troubled Tuesday

Troubled Tuesday is basically my complaint day to complain about all the troubles I have, which could range from what is happening on TV shows to who knows what.

Not that it is not bad enough that I did not do this for Tuesday but am only getting to it on Friday.
  • I would say my biggest problem I have had this week is S being sick.  He started with a fever on Sunday (103°) and Monday (101.3°).  Monday night he started having white discharge coming out of his left eye.  It was disgusting.  It looked like he had worms in his eye.  HE DID NOT!  I just want to emphasize that.

  • I put breastmilk in his eyes and it seemed to help with the discharge. (I kept some frozen in the big freezer from when P was a baby.  If I hadn’t, my neighbor was willing to give me an ounce.  When S woke up in the middle of the night freaking out I gave him some Tylenol because his left eye was almost completely swollen shut.   Tuesday morning he woke up with discharge in his eyes and both swollen and purple.  The whites of his eye were still bright white.  I made an appointment with the doctor and put more breastmilk in his eyes.  Within an hour the discharge had stopped and the swelling had decreased considerably.  We went to the doctor’s and the nurse said, “Hmmmm, that does not look like pink eye.”  The doctor said yup that is pink eye.  I asked her what classifies pink eye.  She said any infection in the eye is treated as pink eye and is given the same drops.

  • When we got home I put more breastmilk in S’s eyes.  I did fill his prescription but I really wanted to give the breastmilk a shot.  I did not put more breastmilk drops in his eyes in the late afternoon and I should of.  By nightfall he had discharge coming out and I just gave him the script drops.  When he woke up Wednesday morning his eyes were so matted shut and swollen he could barely open them up.  I continued the drops.  His eyes were so purple when he went to bed I was amazed that his eyes were clear and back to normal Thursday morning when he woke up.

What is troubling you?

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
