Thursday Treats is all about the best things I have had happen in the past week as far as good things, good foods, awesome finds at stores, great TV shows, etc.
- We got tons of big boxes in the mail yesterday. I think S was just as excited as I was. We got our House Party game kit, a new pillow for me, the last Goodies box ever, and S’s Bento Pirate Pig Box. We had a great time opening all the boxes and digging into them. Be on the lookout for a few reviews on some of the boxes.
- It looks like we will be going to Cincinnati this weekend to do trains with S. He is so excited and that Goodies box could not have come at a better time. All of those new snacks for him to try will be perfect to take with us.
- I think we are going to take the train (Amtrak) to Chicago in December for S’s birthday. He really wants to do Disney, but I just don’t think it is going to work out for us this year. S will love riding a train to Chicago. It is about 4 hours each way on the train. The same as if we drove.
- S has agreed to go to Target after we go to zoo school today. Yeah!
- I got to watch a little scrapbooking on HSN last night. No I did not order anything I just like to watch them create. I could watch it all day long. I have in the past ordered a few things, but it is definitely not my norm.
- S just sat by the window last night waiting for B to come home from work. It was so cute. He gave me a play by play of him not being home yet. He kept saying he would wait for just a few more minutes. He waited for over 15 minutes until B finally got home. It’s like a kid sitting there waiting for Santa to come.
- PJ got to go over to the neighbors with us and had a little playdate with the neighbor’s dog. Usually Arnold comes over to play and this time PJ got to go and play with Arnold. I’m sure she enjoyed finding a bunch of new smells.

I always say I am going to try taking the train to Chicago, but I never actually do it. I know the kids would love it!
I took the train from Toledo to Chicago in my early twenties, My mom did it as a weekend girl getaway. My mom, sisters, and me all went. It was actually fun to ride the train even in my twenties. Once we got to Chicago we just walked or cabbed it around. I highly recommend it.
