Sunday Social

I am linking-up today with Ashley at http://www.ashleylately.com/ and Neely at http://www.acompletewasteofmakeup.com/ for Sunday Social.

What were you like in middle school and high school?

I was right in the middle, not super cool, but not a nerd either.  I did the dorky stuff like band and liked it, but I also did the cool stuff like volleyball, softball and show choir (aka glee).  I was pretty well rounded and hung out with everyone and no one at the same time.  I don’t have any best friends from high school and really by the end of high school I could not wait to get out.  Now when I see someone from high school I usually turn and walk the other way so I don’t have to talk to them.

What were your favorite pastimes?

I would say living at home, but who are we kidding.  I am so glad I do not have to live with my sisters anymore always stealing my clothes, cds, movies, etc.  I don’t really have any favorite pastimes that I can think of.

What songs were you obsessed with?

I was totally obsessed with Alanis Morissette, Jagged Little Pill, and Jewel, Pieces of You, and Sarah McLachlan, Surfacing, Fumbling Toward Ecstasy, Solace, & Touch.  I played these cds over and over again.  My mom totally hated hearing them over and over again.  She still talks about how much I played those songs and it has been 15 years since I graduated from high school.

What fashion statements do you look back and cringe?

I didn’t really do anything outrageous.  I would touch on styles and get a few pieces but never made a full leap into one.  i.e. bodysuits, flannel shirts, baby doll dresses, army boots, etc.

Who was your celeb crush?

Prince William when he had hair, Leonardo DiCaprio (Titanic), & Joshua Jackson (Dawson’s Creek, Pacey, Mighty Ducks movies).  I had to Google movies and TV shows to remember what was even on back then. Guess no one really stuck in my mind other than the prince!

Yup, that was my favorite magazine in my teens that had Prince William on it.

What was your favorite movie?

My go to was always Footloose, but I really liked different ones, Eddie & the Cruisers, Eddie & the Cruisers 2: Eddie Lives, Wizard of Oz, and Disney movies.

I used to love YM! That and Teen People were always my favorite, and it’s too bad neither one of them are still around. Well, at least I’m pretty sure they aren’t…

And just letting you know, I’m stopping by from Sunday Social.

Oh Prince William… when he was so cute. Le sigh. And oh yes…. Jewel for my “emo” days when “emo” wasn’t a term yet…

  • Stephanie says:

Totally agree on the “emo” days before it was cool to be emo. Must have been ahead of our times.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
