Silly Saturday

Silly Saturday is going to be dedicated to my pets. Since my son, S, was born three years ago my pets were my babies. Now they have taken a back burner in life. I will discuss all of the funny, gross, weird, etc. things that have happened in the last week with the pets. Right now I only have three pets, 2 dogs, PJ and Derby and one fat cat, Neezer.

This week all three of the pets had to go to the vets for their yearly check-up and each one had its own little story/quirk of how it went.

Neezer-So for the first time ever Neezer’s blood sugar actually registered within the normal range.  We figured it would be off the charts because of all the crying, drinking water and hair loss, but it wasn’t.  The cat just loves to complain.   So the vet checked Neezer which is a task all by itself.  Neezer hates the vet’s and refuses to get out of his cage when he is there.  We take the top off but he buries his head in the towel so the vet cannot touch it.  He did okay, just a few hisses and no attempts at biting anyone.

PJ-PJ was hilarious when it came to getting her check-up.  Derby got her temperature taken first and when PJ saw where they stuck it, she backed it up to the corner (literally), tucked her tail, and sat down.  She had me cracking up.  She is such a good dog, goes with the flow, and listens great, but not when it was time to get up on the table.  When it came time for the vet to look her over she like sprawled out on the floor so B could not pick her up.  She did everything possible to make it near impossible for B to pick her up.  I loved it.  The vet got some peanut butter out for her to lick and entice her.  PJ wanted none of that and refused the peanut butter.  That’s my dog!

Derby-Derby is our disgusting little dog who like to eats cat poop for dessert.  Yuck!  You think that’s gross she also eats bugs!  All kinds, hard brown beetles, ants, spiders, lady bugs and more.  Don’t you know we have to take a stool sample in and there are a ton of carcasses in it?  I asked the tech after she tested it if that was a normal thing to see and she said she had never seen that before.  This is what she does all day is test dog stool samples and she has never seen bug carcasses in it before.  That’s my dog!  Always the first for something.  I know too much information on Derby and her bad habits, but they are just crazy!

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
