I thought while B was out on strike (hopefully not for long) I would talk about what is going on and how we have been affected by it in the past week.
Week 19
This will be my last post for Saturday Strike. B has been back to work for over a week now and every shift has finally returned to work. This is also the last week for the Strike Relief Fund. They are doing this last check because it will still be another week before we get our first paycheck.
I can happily close the book on this chapter at least for the next four years and not have to worry about another strike. So things seem to be getting back to normal around here, whatever that is. Because B is back on shift this past week he was home with us for an entire day. He still is working his job he picked up while on strike to help until the farmer can find more help to replace B. Hopefully in the next few weeks he will actually get all his days off.
