Saturday Sales

Saturday Sales is all about the great deals I found in-store or online.   I know this is only going to show you how much I actually do or don’t shop.  I do find a ton of great deals online and even in the store.  So if I don’t make any purchases you can see what I thought about purchasing in the past week.

So after all those great buys last week, this week I didn’t find any good deals but had Kohl’s cash that I needed to use.  The 30% (cocoa30) discount with the Kohl’s charge was still going on, so I could combine the Kohl’s cash with the 30% discount.  Since I bought so much last week I had $20 in Kohl’s cash to use and a $5 Yes2You reward coupon from my purchases in December.

If I could combine the discounts in the order I wanted I could definitely get the better deal, but they take the Kohl’s cash off and then the % discount.  I wish they did it the other way.  A long time ago, they did.  Here is the price difference.

% 1st, then $ off

$57.99

-$17.40 30% discount

$40.59

-$25.00 $20 Kohl’s Cash & $5 Yes2You Rewards

$15.59 Total

$ off, then % off

$57.99

-$25.00 $20 Kohl’s Cash & $5 Yes2You Rewards

$32.99

-$ 9.90 30% discount

$23.09 Total

See the difference…..$7.50!!!  It sucks because everyone would choose option #1 when it comes to getting the discount and all retailers would choose option #2 (except for Old Navy they do % then $ off).  I also used the code FREE4JAN to get free shipping with my Kohl’s Charge.  So I ended up getting the shoes for $24.65 with tax.  It is still a really great deal, and I really needed a new pair of shoes.

Did you find any great deals this past week shopping?
