Manic Monday done on Wednesday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

I don’t see a lot happening this week.  I think it is going to be really quiet at home.  B is switching his shift schedule this week so we actually are going to get him a few more days than normal.

My Weekly Goals-I want to get my Christmas cards out this week and get a few more reviews done.

Monday-Just hanging out at home.  I am hoping to get some reviews done and get my Christmas cards addressed and sent out today.

Tuesday-Another day of hanging out at home.  I am going to try to go over to my neighbors and help her cut out decals for her daughter’s room.

Wednesday-I am going to try to run to a few stores after S gets on the bus for school.  As long as P takes her nap at 11am we should be good to go.

Thursday-Again a day at home with no plans.

Friday-Enjoying another day at home.  Maybe I will try to head over to my neighbor’s again to cut out more decals.

Saturday-S has a build at Home Depot in the morning making a building stack. Then we are going to the Perrysburg Christmas Parade in the afternoon before B heads off to work.

Sunday-Just hanging out at home.  I think we are going to try to build our gingerbread train.

Last Week Recap

It actually turned out to be a pretty busy week.  Monday I did end up meeting my mom for breakfast and to talk.  I don’t think anything was really accomplished other than the relationship we are going to have is going to be on her terms and when she wants.  The rest of the day I hung out at home with B and the kids (minus the time S was in school).

Tuesday was just a quiet day of hanging out at home.

Wednesday I did manage to get both the pies made before P went down for her nap, I took a short nap with P, and then we went to B’s aunt for Thanksgiving dinner.  It has become a tradition that we eat there on Wednesday night and go through the ads for Thursday and Friday.  Really it comes down to who is going to what store and getting the items for the others.

Thursday I slept in till about 9:30am, then got up to get ready.  I had no idea that B got up at 5am and went shopping at Meijer.  He got home and back in bed before either of the kids woke up for the day.  I managed to put P down for an early nap, but had to lay down with her for the second part.  B and S went to my dad’s while P was sleeping.  After she got up we met everyone just in time to eat.  We hung out for a few hours after we ate and then it was time for B to head to Wal-Mart to get those deals.  When he left we also left.  I was hoping to get P down for a second nap.  That didn’t work and I had my hands full the rest of the night.

Friday B got up early in the morning and went to Menards.  He may have run to a few other stores, but I have no idea.   I hung out with the kids at home.  My sister got married and we got to see them when they stopped by in the limousine on the way to their dinner.

Saturday we hung out at home during the day and went to the lights parade in the evening.  S loves to go and see all the lights.  This was P’s first real lights parade.  Last year she was too little to even know what was going on.  She loved it and could not take her eyes off the parade.

Sunday we hung out at home and didn’t really do a whole lot.  I thought the Perrysburg Christmas Parade was today.  Thankfully I checked and it is actually next Saturday.  We actually ran to Costco instead to pick up our Christmas cards.

Last Week

Monday-I am meeting with my mom to talk in the morning and then hanging out the rest of the day at home.  We may try to go see Santa after dinner.

Tuesday-No plans other than hanging out at home.

Wednesday-S has the day off from school.  Today is baking/cooking day.  I have to make two pumpkin pies, and B is going to get the green bean casserole assembled to cook in the morning.  I want to take S to see the new Peanuts movie.  In the evening, we are going to B’s aunts for Thanksgiving dinner.  Of course after dinner we go over the ads and make all the lists.  B and his aunt combine their lists and tag team stores.

Thursday-We are going to my dad’s for Thanksgiving and then I am pretty sure that B will take off for Black Friday Sales.  Since we are eating a P’s naptime I am hoping to get her down for an early nap or we will leave when B does to give her a late nap.

Friday-B may run to a few stores in the morning.  If S takes his shower ever night this week when asked he earns decorating outside with lights.  B is working that night, and we are staying home.

Saturday-We are hanging out at home and in the evening we are going to the lights parade in Maumee.  My sister now lives on the parade route so we are hoping to watch it from her front window and stay nice and warm.

Sunday-Just hanging out at home.  We are going to start getting ready for Chippy, our elf, to come and visit.  S is so excited because we bought him a jacket last year for him to wear to keep him warm when he travels.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
