Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans.  Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable.  I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday-We are taking Dinky to get her stitches out from getting spayed a few weeks ago.  Otherwise we are just going to be hanging out at home.

Tuesday-We don’t have any plans during the day but after S get homes from school it will be a busy night.  There is catechism, then piano lessons, and then parent/teacher conferences.

Wednesday-We have P’s play group in the morning, but that is it.

Thursday-We are going to do trunk-or-treating in the evening.  The kids love doing it.  I love that if we do this and it is really crappy weather on Halloween they don’t care about trick-or-treating and we can skip it.

Friday-No plans as of yet.

Saturday-There is a Boo-tober festival uptown during the day.  We can do trick-or-treating to all the local businesses, pumpkin carving.  There is also a Halloween party at a local funeral parlor.  They do it every year.  They decorate the funeral home and the kids can walk through.  There are all sorts of activities to participate in and if you donate a canned good you get a free pumpkin.

Sunday-I think today we are just going to be hanging out at home.  Since it is so close to Halloween who knows we could end up doing something.

Last Week

Monday P and I hung out at home during the day and then when S got home he played outside for a little bit until it was time to work on homework.

Tuesday S had catechism and then his first piano lesson.  He really liked it and it excited to go back this week.

Wednesday P’s play group was cancelled due to rain so we hung out at home during the day.  We did end up going to Dave & Buster’s when S got home from school.  We got there early enough that we beat the dinner crowd.  Since we went early we just played games for a while.  They both cashed in their tickets and got a prize.

Thursday I took S to his last soccer practice and then picked up the kids Halloween/Fall pics from JCPenney’s.  P went to play with Grandma G while B ran some errands with his dad.

Friday was the third day in a row that P did not take a nap.  She is definitely phasing out of naps, but still needs them.  B came home early from work to check out the progress of the pool getting filled.  We hung out at home the rest of the night.

Saturday we went to S’s last soccer game of the season.  He scored a goal in the last quarter which made both P and him excited because that means we are going out for ice cream.  Part of the deal for P was she had to take a nap.  That was not a problem after three days of no nap she went to sleep as soon as I put her down.  While she was napping S hung out with Grandma G and we went to the zoo.  B won an Extreme Adventure Package from the zoo through work so we went with our neighbors and had a mini couples date in the afternoon.  The adventure package included free jumping 30ft., climbing through obstacle courses 40 ft. and higher, flight line which was an 80 ft. high, and zip line.  We had a great time.  B did all of it.  After I did the first obstacle course I opted out of doing the second one.  When we got home we did a quick dinner and then all went for ice cream at Mr. G’s.  It is an ice cream place over by where we had our first house.  The ice cream is awesome and 98% fat free which works well for me because I cannot do dairy.

Sunday we took advantage of the nice weather and worked outside.  We got all the veggies left in the garden and then ripped it out for the season.  All of the pool toys got put away and then B continued to work on more stuff outside.

Monday-We don’t have any plans.   P and I are just going to hang out at home.  It will be homework time after S gets home from school.

Tuesday-P and I are going to ride bikes to the library in the morning to return a book.  S has catechism and piano lessons after school.

Wednesday-We are going to try to go to P’s playdate in the morning.  I have a doctor appointment in the afternoon.  We are planning on going to Dave & Buster’s after dinner to celebrate S getting pink on the behavior chart and letting him play games.

Thursday-This is S’s last soccer practice of the fall season.  He has really lucked out with it being warm the entire soccer season.  The farmer’s market is over so we are not doing that this week.

Friday-No plans, just hanging out at home.

Saturday-S has is last soccer game of the season.  B is off so we may try to go out on the boat or do something because the weather is going to be so nice.

Sunday-As of now no plans we will just hang out at home and enjoy the nice weather.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
