Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans.  Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable.  I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

My Weekly Goal-This week P and I are going to venture out to do something with her wearing undies.  We will see how it goes.

Monday-No plans so we are just hanging out waiting for this big snowstorm to come they are predicting.

Tuesday-P has her playgroup in the morning.  S doesn’t have catechism this week but his school is doing a roller skating fundraiser so we are roller skating after B gets home from work.

Wednesday-Another day of hanging out around the house.

Thursday-No plans just hanging out at home.

Friday-B is off so I am sure he will do something around the house while P and I just hang out.

Saturday-S has a birthday party in the afternoon for one of his classmates.  The rest of us will just hang out.

Sunday-We are just hanging out at home together.

Last Week Recap

Most of our week was consumed with potty training.  It became a family affair and we succeeded.  This recap is basically going to be all about victories and losses associated with the toilet.  Feel free to skip it this week if you don’t want to hear about pee and poop.

Monday we hung out at home working on going potty.  At this point she refused to poop on the potty so I let her put a diaper on when she asked for it.  She never peed in her diaper and always on the potty so I was totally fine with her wearing a diaper.

Tuesday P and I went to her playgroup.  She went potty when we were there which was an accomplishment within itself.  She refused to go anywhere else and after seeing her friends go she wanted to go too.  When she was done she went out and did a potty dance for everyone.

Wednesday was the first time and last time we have had any accidents (fingers crossed).  Thank goodness they were both in a diaper so there was no big clean-up but still a bummer.  I told her it made me sad and after that she was all about trying to make me happy.  Every time she has peed on the potty since she asks me if I am happy.  When I tell her I am she dances.  Maybe this guilt thing is going to work for me.

Thursday we hung out at home.  We finally figured out how to know P has to poop.  She asks to go pee every 5 seconds.  She knows she needs to do something but can’t figure it out.  Well she figured it out today before her nap.  She finally pooped on the potty for the first time!

Friday we hung out at home working on the potty more.  Today B got her to poop on the potty.  Now we know that she will go for either one of us so it makes it easier when it comes to potty training.  Truth be told I don’t think B does the potty dance as good as me!

Saturday we hung out at home.  My sister came over to play with the kids after P’s nap and I got to take a nap myself.

Sunday B and S went to the train show.  S was so happy when he came home to show me he got a railroad crossing light for his bedroom.  The lights actually blink.  Of course he also got 8 new Hot Wheel cars.  Just more to add to the 100s he already has.  P did great with the potty today.  She pooped 3 times on the potty.  I think we are over the hump of having to fight her to poop.  She willingly got on the potty and went twice without being bribed.

Last Week

It is going to be a very quiet week for us.  We have no plans.

Weekly Goals

Monday-We are going to continue working on potty training with P.  It is going to be fairly nice outside so we may venture to play outside.

Tuesday-We have P’s playgroup in the morning.  We are going to try to go in undies and see if we can do it accident free.  S has catechism in the evening

Wednesday-Another day of being home and potty training.

Thursday-No plans other than hanging out at home.

Friday-Just another day at home.

Saturday-Hanging out at home doing gosh knows what.   It is daylight saving tonight so don’t forget to spring ahead one hour with your clocks!

Sunday-Hopefully the kids will sleep in a little so that we get a little extra sleep.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
