Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans.  Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable.  I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

My Weekly Goals

Monday-S has school and then has a playdate after school.  He is looking forward to it because his little friend is getting off the bus at our house.

Tuesday-Other than S going to school there are no real plans for the day.  S has catechism class in the evening.

Wednesday-P and I have our play group in the morning.  S has school and then an afterschool program for an hour.

Thursday-S has school, there is the farmer’s market, and then S has soccer practice.

Friday-S has school, and we are hanging out at home the rest of the day and night.

Saturday-S has a soccer game in the morning, a Lego build at Toys R Us, and a birthday party in the afternoon.  It is going to be a busy day for him.

Sunday-No plans so far.

Last Week Recap

Monday we hung out at home.  P didn’t want to walk in the morning so we ended up riding bikes.

Tuesday was another day at home.  We went to catechism orientation in the evening and P stayed with May.

Wednesday P and I went to our group playdate at the park in the morning.  It was sprinkling off and on so we didn’t stay for very long.  The rest of the day we hung out at home.

Thursday B ran some errand while P took a nap.  After S got home from school he got to play for a few minutes before it was time to eat and run to soccer practice.  P went with us and had fun running around the fields.  We collected acorns while S was practicing.

Friday we hung out at home during the day.  S had some friends come over for a playdate after school.  They had a silly string fight, ate pizza and got to eat cupcakes.  We ended the night with P and S swimming in the pool.  I thought this may be the last chance to use the pool this year.

Saturday we were supposed to go to the parade but it was cancelled due to the rain.  We decided to head up to Ikea and see if we could find stuff for the inside of the playhouse.  We didn’t find a large chalkboard or magnet board.  We did find some really cool different shaped lockers for storage and they will double as a magnet board until we find what we are looking for.  We also did get a couple of small stools for the playhouse.  Of course we couple other odds and ends but nothing significant.  We raced home because S had a soccer game at 3:30pm.  We got there about 3:38pm so he missed the first quarter but played the rest of the game.  He was goalie at the end of the game and could not remember that he is allowed to touch the ball and stop it.  I think he got two or three goals scored against him.  He did great on offense and defense.  This is a whole new game to him now that they have positions and goalies.  After we got home we hung out for about an hour before I went to a painting class and B stayed home with the kids.  I loved the painting class and I think it is my best one so far.  B took the kids to Meijer by himself and did some grocery shopping.

Sunday we hung out at home.  B took the VW Bug to Bugfest.  He goes every year and this is the second time that he has taken the beetle.  I took the kids so they could see B and check out the rest of the VW cars.  When we were leaving P ran into the corner of the car door and ended up hitting her head hard enough that she was bleeding.  It was not bad enough to do anything other than apply pressure.  We spent the rest of the day hanging out at home.  P took a nap, S went to his friends for a playdate and I took a nap.  The rest of the day we played outside.

Last Week

My Weekly Goals

Monday-We are going to enjoy the nice weather that we are supposed to have today and spend time outside.  P and I are going to ride bikes up to the library in the morning to turn in my sheet for the Architectural Scavenger Hunt.

Tuesday-I plan on hanging out in the morning and then after S gets home from school we are going to the orientation for catechism classes.  This means that we are going to try to start to go to church every week.

Wednesday-P and I are going to meet up with the mom’s I met for another playdate at a park.  I won’t get a text until Tuesday night saying what park we are meeting at.  The rest of the day we are just hanging out at home.

Thursday-I am sure at some point we will run to the farmer’s market.  S has his first soccer practice for the fall season.

Friday-As of now we don’t have plans but I am sure that will change.

Saturday-Today is Harrison Rally Day so there is a parade in the morning we are going to.  S will have a soccer game in the afternoon so it will be tight when it comes to P getting her nap before we go.  We are playing on a new field so this should be interesting.

Sunday-Thank goodness we don’t have any plans so it will be a day at home catching up.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
