Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

This week is the last we have with B before he starts his shutdown hours and starts working 60+ hours a week.  B is trying to finish a bunch of projects this week before he heads back to work.

This Week’s Goals-I am hoping to finish P’s birthday banner, and hopefully the tags for the sweet table.

Monday-This is going to be the nicest day of the week.  It is supposed to be 80° and sunny.  The only thing we are going to do is play outside.

Tuesday-It is not going to be as warm.  Somewhere in the 60’s.  S has his first soccer practice today.  He is very excited about it.

Wednesday-Since Monday is supposed to be nice and Tuesday S has soccer practice, today we need to get S’s homework for school done.  I like to do it on Monday’s but with the nice weather predicted I don’t want to waste our time inside.

Thursday-It is supposed to be rainy so I assume we will just hang out at home.  B is working so it is just the kids and me.

Friday-We don’t have any plans so as of now we are hanging out at home.

Saturday-S has his first game in the morning.  I am hoping for good weather.  I hate to sit at soccer games when it is cold or rainy.

Sunday-We are just hanging out at home.

Last Week Recap

I was happy to have accomplished my weekly goal of getting out the invitations for P’s birthday party.

I try to make sure the kids play outside for at least an hour every day as long as it is not raining.  I think it is warm enough (above 55 °).  We play outside when S gets off the bus and try to stay outside until they get hungry for dinner.  That is usually somewhere between 5pm and 6pm.

I did a ton of laundry last Monday and managed to get it all folded.  I hate putting clothes away so I still have mine that need put away.  We played outside every day after S got off the bus.  Some days we went on walks and other days we played in the backyard.

Friday we did go see my new niece.  S and P loved meeting her and taking turns holding her.  When I held her P would not have it and kept trying to get us to leave.  We had to leave shortly after so S could go to school.  The rest of the afternoon we hung out at home.  S and B put the trampoline up.

Saturday B worked outside in the yards and S helped most of the day.  P played outside as much as she could.  She loved jumping on the trampoline every chance she got.  S got to have a play date and one of the boys from down the street came down to play for a few hours.

Sunday B put mulch down in the yard all day.  S helped on and off throughout the day and P tried to help but got bored quickly and would run off to do something else.

Last Week

My Weekly Goals-I would love to get P’s invitations out this week.  I have them created and just need to print and assemble them.

Monday-We have no plans so we are going to hang out at home.  I have to do the kids laundry and I am going to wash the next size for P.  Although the 18-24 mos./24 mos. is still too big for her some of the 18 mos. is starting to get to small for her.  I hate the transition period.

Tuesday-We still have no plans and are just hanging out at home.  It looks like a day of folding laundry.  As I am typing this I see 7 loads of clean clothes that need folded.  I only got 2 done yesterday.

Wednesday-We are either going to try to go see my new niece today or tomorrow morning.  When she was born S and P had just started a cold and have not been able to hold her yet.  S is begging to hold her; P will do whatever S does.  Otherwise we are just having another day at home.

Thursday-If we didn’t go yesterday, today we will go to my sister’s.  We are just hanging out at home the rest of the day.

Friday-B is off and this is his last week off before his shutdown at work starts.  He will be working 60 hours a week until the beginning of August.  Hopefully the kids will absorb as much time as they can before they only get to see him for like an hour before they go to bed every night.

Saturday-We have no plans and are just going to be hanging out at home.

Sunday-Another day of hanging out at home.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
